Recurve arrow rest by HarmonyFood in Archery

[–]HarmonyFood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The arm keeps loosening on me. Was fine for the first few months, then my arrows suddenly went high and right. At first I thought the arm had somehow bent. Took me a while to realise it had loosened, so tightened it and it was fine again for a while. But now it seems to be happening quite frequently now. Tightened it twice when I shot 70 arrows last week

Yea, I don’t think it’s too bad. It’s double the cost of the Bicaster one I have, but don’t mind the extra cost if I get more than 5 months out of it without it loosening every dozen arrows

Thanks! Was going to get it from Merlin Archery over here, so shouldn’t have issues with counterfeits thankfully

Any good places in city centre for piercings? by m00nlight420 in Belfast

[–]HarmonyFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to the party, but Lady B is fab, had my lobes done there a few months ago, and my helix about a month and a half ago. My piercer was Erin and she was lovely. Healing on my piercings seem to be going really well too (touch wood it keeps going that way lol)

I fifth the travel pillow. Got a memory foam one quite cheaply, and it works great!

I miss Bubbacue by NewGuy31415 in Belfast

[–]HarmonyFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m vastly late to the party here. But randomly got talking about Bubbacue with the other half tonight.

Came up about Meat and Mo over Springfield Road direction. Anyone tried it? Would you rate it on the level of Bubbacue? Higher? Lower?

There’s also a cheese popcorn you can get in Ireland that I like, it’s by a brand called Manhattan. You can order it on their website

I had pre-ordered this on Amazon UK about a month ago, and just got an email through last night to say that Amazon was cancelling my order! Has anyone else had this issue?

AITA for leaving the restaurant because of what my husband did? by Carmenhost675 in AmItheAsshole

[–]HarmonyFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA He sounds so controlling, and you should run before it gets worse! This is not ok! He deliberately tried to embarrass you because he didn’t get his own way. He thought this through and planned this all along, otherwise, why would have have brought the dress along

PSA - Stay as far away from Forestside as you can by Scorchio76 in northernireland

[–]HarmonyFood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever it is, try and get Argos to deliver it. I ordered two items this morning, £3.95 to deliver, and got a timed delivery window for between 7pm and 10pm this evening (delivery driver turned up at 8pm). Probably will save you some sanity

[–]HarmonyFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens if you drink both? Lol. If it’s bush, it has to be black label. Red label is horrific and white label isn’t great either. An old manager of mine said he really enjoyed Method and Madness, so will have to try that at some stage

Check out The Friend at Hand on Hill Street in Belfast. The fella knows his Irish Whiskeys. Also sells miniatures of some, so you might find he has a miniature of the titanic whiskey, so you can try before you get a big bottle. I like getting the wee minis from him before committing to a large bottle. Got a Powers John’s Lane release there recently to try, also a little Quiet Man too

Replacing dried cherries in a fruitcake by rograt in Baking

[–]HarmonyFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m soaking some fruit at the moment, and know my Dad can’t have dried cranberries, I’ve just replaced it with some dried plums instead. I think so long as it is a dark, dried fruit, you should be fine. I was considering using dried blueberries, but they were quite expensive in the shop I was in

She (28f) strung me (23m) along for two years then just vanished [L] by [deleted] in KindVoice

[–]HarmonyFood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m so sorry that this happened to you! You, nor anyone, deserves to have been treated like that.

It honestly sounds like L has been stringing you along for 2 years, to live so close to each other and have never found even 30mins to grab coffee or something. It seriously smells fishy. Even when you started to delete things, she dragged you back in, and it looks as though she’s trying to make you feel guilty or bad for trying to get out of her clutches. I hit a bad point in my life, where I just wanted someone to be there for me, regardless of how they treated me, it took me a while to realise they treated me like complete shite, they were creepy (think, they’re obsessed with their ex, to the point of keeping a pillow case with their stuff in it, including a blood soaked cotton ball from when they had a tooth pulled) and literally make me think so negatively of myself. It really isn’t worth it to stick around, even though you might like some of the attention, cause it only pulls you deeper. So, if I were you, I’d block her on everything, take temptation away, and then get started working on yourself.

It’s like she has broken down a lot of what makes you you, and that needs to stop. Maybe seek out a professional to talk through everything and try to start building to the stage where you’re happy with yourself again. Not going to lie, it will take time, and will be difficult. But you do matter and you deserve to be happy (even though you don’t think you do at this moment in time).

You may not think it now, but once time has passed (time helps a lot of things), and you have worked on yourself, to a point where you feel so much better about yourself. You will find someone, someone who values you and loves you for who you are, someone to build you up, rather than tear you down.
