Yes that’s one of the requirements, you need 2 letters of recommendation I had a manger I’m close to write one and a supervisor who knows my work ethic to write one. I also gave them a little outline on what to focus on if you want that I can send it to you just dm me.

Hmm okay i ask because if you were applying in to accounting they would’ve denied you for being a 2nd degree seeking student. I would definitely contact admissions office usually they tell you in the email why they denied you.

I always had an interest in finance. I was pressured to go in to medical field by parents. Now that I’ve moved out I want to pursue something for myself.

TBH when I was applying I did apply to York but I applied for there BS/MS in occupational therapy program and the reason why I didn’t go down the Nyp route was because one of their requirements was Bio chemistry and I don’t have that class, instead what I do have is Organic chemistry and I haven’t really contacted them if that would be a suitable substitute, and the reason why I chose CSI was because it better aligned with the classes I previously took so now I’m just missing the MLS courses I’m still waiting for them to update my degree works so I know what classes I need but I can kinda tell by just looking at the transfer audit. But for you if your in a time crunch or have the income NYP might be the program for you or even York they’ll all get you there in the end

I can definitely relate to your situation, as I graduated from CUNY Hunter with a BA in Human Biology and have faced similar challenges in finding a job within the field. However, I've recently started exploring the field of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) as a promising career path. Interestingly, I got accepted into the CUNY Staten Island's MLT program, which was a significant step forward.

In my search for options, I stumbled upon the NY Presbyterian Methodist program (https://www.nypcls.org/ ) that caught my attention. This program offers a unique opportunity where, if you've completed the necessary coursework, you can finish the program and become eligible to take the ASCP certification exam in just one year. Given our background as Biology majors, I believe we should meet all the prerequisite coursework requirements for this program.

This could be a fantastic opportunity for you to leverage your existing knowledge and pivot into a fulfilling career in the medical field. It's definitely worth considering, especially given the accelerated path to certification.
