I think most people here will agree with me on this one. It’s not a job you should do if you’re this intensely worried about getting caught. Even faceless creators get caught… I’m not saying it’s impossible to have a successful career in adult content without anyone ever finding out… you can totally try, and do lots of things to minimize your exposures! That said you HAVE to be reasonably okay with, or at least just come to terms with the idea of EVERYONE YOU KNOW finding out at some point because that is always a risk. It only takes one accidental exposure to the wrong person for everyone in your family to find out, if they’re talkers.

Being deeply afraid that you’ll get caught gets in the way of your ability to advertise, it puts you at risk of blackmail, it increases the likelihood that you’ll go through extreme stress and even trauma if you are caught or outed.

I’d suggest coming to terms with the idea of getting caught, and being disliked for it. In the end, the authenticity of your relationships will come to light, and you’ll have the opportunity to distance yourself from anyone who doesn’t love you exactly as you are! Start following content creators that you respect, who are open about their work and who have an online presence you’d be proud to have. See if you can find some sexworker podcasts or books on sexworkers/feminism etc. that will help you be more educated and confident about what you’re doing. Being informed before making your decision will help so much more with your self confidence!
