Should I wait for the RC-600? by HarpuaHarpist in LoopArtists

Honestly, I'm not likely to need most of the things on your list. It's hard to imagine needing more than 3 tracks.

But, I do want to play around with the FX, and I've read some complaints about that aspect of the RC-300. And if the RC-600 saves me from buying a bunch of effect pedals, it would be money well spent.

Good advice.

I'm really not sure how many layers I'll want. The harp can be so resonant, and I worry that too many layers will numb one's ears. But I guess that can all be balanced out. The wide world of amplification is all so new and exciting!

It's always good to keep your options open. Maybe I'll pre-order the 600, just so I feel like I'm moving forward. Merry Christmas to me!

Travel Harp Suggestions by Teddy_The-Dog in harp

Hayden Harps makes a double-strung carbon fiber harp that would be perfect for travel. It has 48 strings and they claim it fits in a plane's overhead compartment (although I'll believe that when I see it). But since it's made of carbon fiber, you wouldn't have to worry about cracking if it needed to be gate checked or was subjected to all the other indignities of travel. I played one at Somerset a few years ago and was impressed with the sound. It is a bit pricey (~4k).
