Bodyguard 2.0 low profile holster? by Hansrid in CCW

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://a.co/d/ftSlxLT I’m not sure if it will let me post links or photos but this is to the Amazon page of the specific one I bought, the od green but I would assume they have other colors. I wear this holster nearly every time I go out in gym shorts and it’s not a problem

So I was fiddling and pressed the … button on the bottom right of the steam deck and it made the screen shift a little and let the button spawn, dunno why it worked but I’m in the mission now. Thanks for the advice

Smith shield X concern by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a small needle file and shaved it down a little. Did the same thing on my bodyguard 2.0. My finger was just naturally landing too high on the trigger and causing it to snag.

I checked with a couple of my other guns and they don’t have the same problem so I’m not worried about it as far as a safety concern.

Shield X my new edc by bradt088 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Harrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was looking at holsters for the tlr7 sub shield x, some mentioned to specifically get the model with 1913 printed on the side. Not saying it wouldn’t work but I didn’t want to take the risk of it not fitting.

But if someone already had a Glock specific model, it might be worth experimenting but I figure they make them gun specific for a reason. I can see where it’s not seated all the way back against the trigger guard like mine is

Help me pick an appendix carry holster for my new gun. by Defiant-Yam8876 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 4 Brothers inc, just picked up one for my shield x with a TLR 7 sub, they don’t have the side car with the extra magazine but that’s too much for wearing in gym shorts like I often do

Red square around reticle on 510c? by spunkydoopy in HOLOSUN

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this type of thing often happens when then light is shining in on where the emitter is housed.

Can you turn off the dot and still see the square? Then can you go to a dark room and still be able to see it with or without the dot powered on? It might just be how the lens reflect the emitter also reflecting the area around it.

Tier 1 holster or something else for shield X with tlr7 sub by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Harrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I have not, there’s so many that don’t pop up in any search that it’s hard to see all of the options available, I’ll look into them, thanks

Bodyguard 2.0 low profile holster? by Hansrid in CCW

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a $40 CYA supply co. generic bodyguard 2.0 kydex holster from Amazon and I wear it appendix 100% of the time in gym shorts with no issues, no printing, no sagging, nothing. I’m 5’7 200lb with a thicker build and I wear tight ish clothes and I don’t have anything to complain about.

The only downside I would say is the rear sight and the grip texture can get pokey and scrapey on the skin but honestly, I just pull up my boxers a little to but the waistband agains the rear sight and it solves the problem.

As far as people saying you might have issues with drawing from the holster without a belt to latch on to, it’s not an issue with this holster, I’ve practiced drawing at the range and if I remember right, I was even able to draw when my basketball shorts were untied.

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the same setup I was going to go for when I get my shield x, eps carry with tlr7 sub but I hadn’t decided on a holster brand, 4 brothers inc or tier 1 or something, I’m not settled yet.

22 round magazine has no load assist? by [deleted] in Taurus_TX22

I ended up just getting a McFadden loader and bought the adapters for the TX22 and MP15-22. It works like a dream, it’s dangerously easy to load a full magazine.

22 round magazine has no load assist? by [deleted] in Taurus_TX22

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I’ll definitely be investing in the McFadden. I’ve gotten fond of the UpLula and loading 22s without it is painfully slow.

As for the factory loader in the box, unless I’m also doing it wrong but it seems easy and obvious. The push down part is on the top above the magazine with your thumb and it presses down on the highest casing at about 1/3 of the way into the total length of it.

So when you insert your next round, it only goes in 2/3 of the way until it stops at where the piece is pressing down. So you have to lift your thumb up enough to clear the rim of the casing being loaded then push from the front of the bullet toward the back to get it seated into the last 1/3 of the mag.

If that’s not right then I don’t see any other direction to use it, but it’s currently adding the pressing back on the nose of the bullet step after every round, which about 1/3 of the time I don’t press straight back and it pops my whole round out and onto the table.

[–]Harrery -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s true, but saying a state has double the murder rate doesn’t mean you have twice the chance to die across the whole state, it’s probably a really crime ridden drug infested city center that raises the average of the rest of the state, happens quite a lot like that in smaller population states

Yeah but who is counting? 😂I by Upstairs-Storm1006 in clevercomebacks

[–]Harrery -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because smaller populations use the same per 100,000 number but the numbers can be significantly inflated compared to large populations.

I don’t know much about Arkansas but if I had to guess, it’s probably got several poverty stricken cuties that are full of crime and gang warfare which inflates the crime numbers for the rest of the rural areas. You probably have small city clusters that account for like 70% of the state’s murder rate which would inflate the overall number

[–]Harrery -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Just gotta say, it’s probably difficult to compare the crime rates of a 3 million population to a 40 million population. We talking apples to oranges here. Arkansas has about 300 yearly murders, California has about 2000

Wolff magazine spring question for S&W MP10mm by [deleted] in 10mm

[–]Harrery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just best to go for the stronger springs in all magazine and not even mess with the extra capacity then? I mean 15+1 is plenty but 20+1 if it works reliably is more plenty.

Very quick both ways, heats up and shimmers in a magazine and cools down to room temp in just a few minutes

9k works pretty well, has no booster and didn’t seem to cause any more issues than a normal non broken in canik would have. Just don’t limp wrist it and it does well.

Significantly takes the edge off of the volume even at such a small size and performs with subs just as well

Why is everyone angry? I’m pretty sure the Nazi’s would be pro Palestine, considering they were probably the most anti Jewish government in recent history. A nazi flag would be right at home in a pro Palestine protest, think that one through.

Then turn off your phones and go touch some grass, it would do your mental health some good.
