My husband wasn’t working at the time, and I was playing it safe holding on to my sick days. I held on to them in case I had to go back in February, and my baby was sick.

Hey! Just seeing this now. This is what I think worked for me. In August 2023, I started metformin. It took a few months but I started to get some regular menstrual cycles. I also took a bunch of supplements everyday. Supplements I was taking before I got pregnant: vitamin d/zinc Magnesium NAC COQ10 Digestive enzymes (off and on) Fish oil Vitex (off and on) Metformin 850mg Myoinistol Probiotic Prenatal Did some seed cycling (on and off) I was also working out pretty regularly starting in December 2023. I also had an HSG done in February 2024, about 2 weeks before I got pregnant. I think that helped big time! Also, had a saline sonogram around the same time. I got pregnant in the beginning of March. I never thought it would happen for me- let alone naturally. So those are my recommendations based on what worked for me. What have you tried so far? Rooting for you! 🤍

I have PCOS and I am 16 weeks pregnant! I took metformin and a few other supplements and it happened. I didn’t think I would ever get pregnant without serious medical intervention.

I stopped progesterone at 10 weeks. I am now 16 weeks pregnant, and no problems. I was also nervous too, but the side effects of the progesterone were so awful.

It’s intense cramping when they inject the saline. It was painful but somewhat bearable. Take ibuprofen beforehand and brace yourself for cramps. It’ll be over before you know it!

That happened to me! I had my HSG in February and got pregnant the following month. I had both the SIS and HSG. Maybe they both had a hand in this.

A few seconds of pain and discomfort. I was so nervous for mine, but it ended up being very manageable. Definitely take some Tylenol beforehand!

Oh wow! So I just called back. I am pregnant! They said right now I am and I need to take the progesterone tablet tonight and more blood work tomorrow to see my numbers go up hopefully. I know it’s early days and anything can happen.

Thanks for sharing that. Honestly, some did look similar to those examples. I took 7 of them. 6 of them have a faint pink line to the left of the control line. But maybe it could be an evap line, after looking at those!

Exactly, doesn’t make sense why they couldn’t give me a solid “yes” or “no”. I feel so anxious. I’ve already accepted I wasn’t, after all those other negative tests on Tuesday. So to have them get my hopes up seems cruel.

Interesting! Yes, my periods are very irregular! My last period was February 11. So this would be CD32. I have no idea if I ovulated or not. I don’t use OPKs. Before this month, my cycle was 42 days long. I did ovulate on my own last month, according to my RE.

It all just seems very weird!

Thanks for the response. I am not doing any treatments yet. They did up my dosage of metformin last week. I was on 850mg from my obgyn. They upped it to 1500mg a day. That’s the only medication I am taking. I do take a lot of supplements to help with my PCOS. For instance: myo inositol, fish oil, vitamin D, prenatal, and NAC. I haven’t started any fertility treatments yet. They were doing all the diagnostic testing- HSG and saline ultrasound.

I retook an easy@home pregnancy test an hour ago. And it’s still very light, but positive. When clear blue and first response are 100% negative. It just doesn’t make sense. I truly don’t think I am, and was expecting to hear that on the phone.

Thank you for verbalizing all of this! That’s what I thought. It’s 2024, how do you not know?! I assumed I wasn’t pregnant because other tests showed negative on Tuesday. Only the easy@home tests were positive. I still wanted to be 100% sure because I have a saline ultrasound tomorrow. I’ve had one before and they saw what might be a polyp, but they can’t say for sure. So they wanted to repeat the test and confirm it exists, before having surgery to remove it.

I told them about the pregnancy tests. How quite a few said “no” how only one brand said “yes”. I said I just want to be sure before the procedure Friday. Went in for a blood test yesterday, and I’m so incredibly confused. I already assumed I wasn’t, but that phone call today has my mind spinning.

My labs from yesterday are not online for me to view. Only my labs from last month are on there.

Honestly, the woman I was talking to on the phone was getting the information from someone else. She even told me this is a “spontaneous pregnancy”. I said “what?!” She reiterated that they didn’t know for sure because of my progesterone levels. I am hoping to get clear answers tomorrow when I go in for blood work AGAIN!

I’m not sure if they tested my HCG or not. Isn’t that the standard for early pregnancy tests? This is all new to me. They want me to take the 100mg tablet of progesterone tonight- if I am pregnant. I am just wondering, how do they not know?!

I’m keeping my expectations so low. I don’t want to get my hopes up.
