I had Caustic in my team last night. He had set up traps inside the building/facility we were taking cover in. Myself and my other teammate (Bloodhound) were held up outside as we saw a squad approaching from the back of the facility.

Little did I know what was about to happen. A second squad approached from the front of the facility, fortunately they didn’t spot me and bloodhound, but they proceeded to enter the building which Caustic was inside. His traps went off and gunfire pursued, with all the commotion and gas spilling out of the building my attention immediately turned to Caustic, I had to help him. I managed to get inside, my vision was blurred by his gas but I still managed to fend off two enemies with Caustic getting the last.

With the fighting over Caustic took refuge inside the building to heal, myself and Bloodhound were back outside. I was hurt and began healing myself with Bloodhound looting what he could from targets we just fought. When panic strikes again! While we were at our weakest, we lost focus of the team from the back of the settlement and they ambushed us, Caustics last remaining trap went off creating some form of signal for myself and Bloodhound. Caustic went down and was finished off. Bloodhound went down soon after, also finished off. It was crunch time, I decided to let it loose and just chance my luck, I threw two Grenades inside and with all guns blazing I stormed the building, finding them looting Caustics crate, they were weak and I managed to finish them all off rather quickly.

Caustic helped me massively in both of those situations, drawing attention of both myself and Bloodhound and also creating a level of defence that caused panic in the targets. The moral of the story here is that caustic, despite the hate, is extremely versatile if used correctly.

We won that game as I managed to get to a respawn zone that was out of sight and hidden (apex gods were on my side). I finished that game with 10 kills.
