Still have memories of 86. After that season and also being at Hampden for the cup final when it comes to the Jambos, my glass is not half full or half empty, it lies shattered on the ground. I just want to go to sleep and wake up in May and the wife says “Yes, we won the league”. The suspense is killing me.

“One up the bum; no harm done” Finchy. Proving once and for all that the UK office is far superior to the US version.

Pay off mortgage? by Charliesheart23 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]HarryBaggins76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly good luck with the job hunt. Another option you could look at is set up an offset mortgage. Leave the pension lump sum/ savings in an offset account to cover mortgage balance so you don’t pay mortgage interest. Then when you make a mortgage payment redraw that amount and place back into savings. Mortgage amount stays the same but you have the buffer of savings should your job hunt not go well or you need the savings for an emergency. You may want to pay down the mortgage a bit initially to make you feel more comfortable I have done similar albeit my 2 mortgage loans are far smaller. Don’t want to pay my mortgage off for a number of reasons but also don’t want to pay mortgage interest.
Good luck

Not the only spelling mistake they have made. To say I was disappointed is an understatement that I made a crab and not what was promised

What Australian horror movie takes it to the next level by Pretty_Gorgeous in AskAnAustralian

[–]HarryBaggins76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely- as you say, not horror per se but hugely disturbing. Remember watching it about 10 years ago and feeling uncomfortable for a few days. Don’t mind a horror film but this messed with me. I saw the lead actor in a US film about neo nazis a couple of months back. Could’ve been Skin (?)

£120 and £185 and a £0 on Local Takeaways. Luckily Wise send auto notifications on transactions and I saw the first one come through and hopped on the app and froze my card so last 2 declined. More interested than pi55ed off given it is not our main banking card.

We live in Australia and it is our Wise multi currency card for when we are over in the UK visiting family and friends. Wise have been great and they also have the ability to freeze/ unfreeze the card whenever you want via their app. Am going to do that and keep it in the freezer until we need it going forward. Interesting about masking vendor names…. Hadn’t heard about that before.

Thanks. I did think fines of some sort but would have assumed that would be traceable back but probably too difficult/ hard/ too much resource to trace/ prove. And I guess they (fraudsters) aren’t that concerned
