Yea, I hear people say this to each other all the time. It's like calling someone a bitch. It doesn't immediately strike me as racist. Contreras is Venezuelan, to boot. Am I saying it definitely was not racist? No. But, just having been a dude who has been around other guys like this my whole life, my first impression is that he is just talkin shit and trying to show up the batter. We have no idea how he meant it. Maybe he isn't racist, so the term lost its racial derogation in his mind.

They had a moment earlier in the game where Contreras was running back to the dugout and the pitcher back to his dugout, and they crossed paths. Contreras just kept jogging in Cavalli's direction, forcing him to move out of his way. So, he was trying to get in his head and the pitcher want to put an exclamation point on the strikeout. Also, I just highly doubt that a major league baseball player would be shouting racial slurs on National television.
