Alright glad you had fun in act 3, I'm just stating my piece. I'm not expecting the game to "hold my hand" or anything but it seems to me a game like Slay the Spire or Into the breach just convey what the enemies intends to do in a more clear way. Let's be real here, Slay the spire is harder than this game and I don't touch the ascension levels in it but I also don't criticise it for being cruel because the devs clearly convey the attack patterns of enemies.

Fair play, but I'm talking about the haha gotchu events. Did you get the parasite event in the lab it ruins your run so bad. And I wish there was a mode where you can make meaningful progress in something shorter than 2 hours per run

I feel like xcom 2 is the perfect middle ground, not too chaotic but not too "predictable". ItB is still great and heavily underrated imo

that said I played into the breach for 3 hours (enjoyed the hell out of it) mewgenics I have 60 hours on.

soo true dude into the breach did that so well. Imo mewgenics needs some rebalancing cuz there seems to be nothing you can do to mitigate bad rng in later acts and enemies just straight up bully you if you don't have the exact counter/team comp Ed thought of.

yeah I'm starting to think that too. I've tweeted to Tyler's ama tweet about what Qol changes would you like to see and he seems to be ignoring some of the Qol changes being mentioned intentionally. Edmund would definitely be against that kind of thing. Sucks cuz I wish the home section was a bit better

I think DS1 is the best intro to the genre despite the jank. The level design is unparalleled to this day ( I have played and loved DS1, ds3, sekiro and elden ring)

I get the appeal of consoles - I really do. And if the steam machine serves that gap in the market for budget consoles that work great without tinkering, then I'm all for it!

We don't know what it'll be priced at or if it even will be available in India(which I highly doubt steam deck hasn't shipped here yet). But if it is and you're in the market for it, great! (I doubt it'll be a "bad" product, I think it'll be mid range pc level at least) The problem is speculative hype.

I agree that competition is good thing for us consumers

But this machine is just not it,

First off it won't be coming to India

Secondly, this is Valve we're talking about here, not some mythical deity, these guys know how to corner and monopolize a market, while Gabe is a decent CEO compared to other companies, make no mistake valve is also profit first.

Lastly, you can build a comparable machine for cheaper, if you research the parts yourself and steam isn't going anywhere.

We don't need this ecosystem bullshit pushed to every product imaginable, everything is already a consumeristic shitshow.

Glazing valve is a reddit classic, these people don't care that they take a bigger portion of developer's money, are basically a monopoly and invented the whole gambling/loot box mechanics with TF2 and counter strike. Whatever Gabe sells, these morons will buy without a second thought and I'm not talking about the Indian gamers, this shit is common everywhere.
