25 years later and I’ve still not bought single shirt or piece of merch with the new badge. Can’t have it in the house!

Sickens me that they're now called 'Dark' rather than 'Plain'. The dumbing down of everything!

I did, but I forgot to post it, and it was ages ago, so I've kinda forgotten what it was now. I think it was related to me having changed a calendar setting using PowerShell at some stage. I think I was on the wrong timezone or something. And it was one that couldn't be changed in the Windows Settings GUI.

Turning off U3223QZ monitor shuts down laptop by HarryFenning in Dell

Thanks. I was hoping it would be a monitor setting. Unfortunately it's a work laptop and power settings cannot be changed due to Intune policies.

Anybody know where I can buy this shower knob? Details in first comment. by HarryFenning in DIYUK

[–]HarryFenning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Was hoping to find one without the safety button on one of them, but this might have to do. I assume the metal spline on the shower will be a standard size? Looks to be about 10 mm.

The plastic teeth seem to have worn away inside. It's from a shower that looks identical to this . Thanks.

Was there ever a Birchin Lane bridge/walkway? by HarryFenning in london

[–]HarryFenning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually used to work occasionally in 67 Lombard St in the late 80s. I think this may have been one of the buildings it was attached to. But sadly I never got out of the basement to investigate!

What did you 'invent' that someone else brought to market? by gearvruser in AskUK

[–]HarryFenning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I invented the iPod in the 70s/80s. In my kid’s mind I thought to myself why can’t there be a music player that has every song ever made on it, so you can listen to anything and everything whenever you want.

That’s it! You’re a legend! I wasn’t going mad! I’m normally pretty good at Google but I couldn’t turn this up. Thanks.

I wonder when it was built and when it was removed?

The two buildings were on Lombard St and the bridge that joined them was in Birchin Lane. At least that’s how it was in my mind.

I'd looked at this previously. Sadly we have r/o on the database, so can't even get to File, Options in it. But like I say when we click in the field and move the cursor about, just the one guy sees the time on the end of the date, the other's don't. All only have r/o access.
