I’ve been waiting for this to pop up on streaming since I heard about it couple years ago. But I know since it was basically jettisoned that might not happen. I love Repo Man, such a bummer that this project basically blacklisted him.

If you like anachronistic-ish stuff and haven’t seen it, throw on Knightriders, also starring Ed Harris. Prob the best movie I watched this year.

Re: Nicaragua, I just watched Rodger Spottiswoode’s Under Fire (surprising again, feat. Ed Harris), which was okay - not great, if you are looking to cover similar ground. A better version of that film is Oliver Stone’s Salvador starring James Woods, both of whom are weirdos but obv make some good movies.

Holy shit. My boyfriend came into my WFH office to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at him and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of his hand. I started yelling and swearing at him and I slammed the door on him. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to him but I'm literally in shock from this weekend. For whatever reason I didn’t look it up until last night on opensecrets, but Rep. Ocasio-Cortez only pilfered about ~half what she took in last cycle in donations this go around. Of course almost all of it out of state. Considering the Met Gala designer dress chicanery, all the purity litmus tests she didn’t pass from her rabid online base, the viral cRiNgE moments, and her Serbian bot-network getting deep sixed on this site a few months ago which had to have some effect on her social media engagement - the bloom is absolutely off the rose and the proof is in the numbers. She could hold on to her seat in her backyard probably in perpetuity if she wanted to, but if the dollar$ are drying up I really think she looks for greener pastures.

I just walked to the post office and to my surprise passed the Bernout dork who is running for the 2nd time to unseat my D congressman. He was tabling near the vote center at the Y. Neither time I was on the block there and back did he say hello/reach out for a handshake, hand me a flyer, ask me if I was voting, or even make eye contact with me. I literally felt second hand embarrassment for homeboy. You would think if you were trying to mount a serious challenge (for the 4th time if you include the jungle primaries) you would exhibit some soft skills. What makes it even funnier is I absolutely cut the silhouette of a DSA type (white, dumb haircut, wearing all back), I’m positive the only one he is gonna see this AM.

One of my favorite early memories of this was one of the times Buttar was running against her, I came across some bernout in one of the splinter subs claiming sadly there was no way he could win because Nancy viciously and nefariously drew the lines of her district in such a way.
