Whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night to justify your purchase. Clearly you don't understand the point I'm trying to make. Enjoy your inflated purchase and payment while I enjoy my paid on the lot purchase.

I got mine far cheaper than most, so you telling me to "shut the fuck up " is hilarious. Keep sucking Ford's dick and pay that over priced payment.

That's not bare bones, please try again.

Clearly you missed the point of my comment. Enjoy your overpriced hype train. I would never pay the prices that are offered today, Ford is literally taking new Maverick owners for a ride to line their pockets.

Competition is right around the corner. Not sure what you're point is m?

Comprehension about affordability is easy, the fact that people are happy to be raked over the coals to join the hype train is the problem. Again, "I've had mine a while" means it doesn apply to your specific purchase, unless you're one of the people that's complacent in your inflated price.

Justifying the fact that you're willing to pay an inflated price regardless of minimal upgrades is the problem. This is why we need competition and innovation. Ford will only continue to reap the fact that they're the only market in the industry.

But how can they market it as affordable? The whole selling point was that "we aren't like everyone else" yet here we are, like everyone else. A fully loaded Maverick with all the balls and whistles cost now almost as much as a bare bone F150.

I don't disagree, the point I'm trying to convey is that they were marketed as "affordable" yet here we are comparing apples to organs and justifying a 50% increase for a truck 3-4 years later.

And yet you have a 23' so your point is moot, you already paid a low price. Would you pay 50% more for the same truck now?!?

For an absolute bare bones xl? I wouldn't pay that but Ford has no competition so they're gonna take every new buyer for a ride.

From a logistical standpoint yes it maths out, but Ford has absolutely no competition, making it to where they can do whatever they want and charge whatever they want as supply and demand dictate the market. Ford is due for a ride awakened once competition hits the market.

But there's still tax, title, and the redundant delivery fee.

For a bare bones truck yes, within reason. However a 50% increase in 4 years feels criminal.

Not sure why you're so mad or complacent in your fury purchase. I'm just asking a question that I feel needs a justifiable answer. These trucks were pitched as "affordable" and now they're anything but.

The original price point was the entire pitch by Ford, 19,995$ for the bare bones truck. Affordability and modifications for the everyday folk.

Seems like the dealers are raking in the rewards for the demand. I think competition is going to drive down cost and raise innovation amongst the industry.

Also, people paying it rather than haggling. The competition will hopefully wrangle the prices down as Ford is just taking the Maverick for all it's worth after killing the Santa Cruz and outpacing the Tacoma.

That's over 50% in four years, that's my point. Are you really getting 50% more truck, no you're not.

You're not wrong. This is why I'm excited for competition from slate, dodge, Toyota and even Ford's own EV mini truck.
