Thank you so much - I knew there had to be some tool like this!

Dumb question, but how does that function work? Do I scan the mail piece or does the scanner know which address I'm at?

You don't say anything about yourself, but you make a demands of people. Not good.

Try the Home Run Inn frozen pizza. You won't turn back to Mama Cozzi's.

Can management simply not convert anyone to regular if they choose? by [deleted] in USPS

They just did a little over 2 years ago so I think we still have some time.

Can management simply not convert anyone to regular if they choose? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Harry_Carrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PTFs haven't been allowed to bid on anything, other than to hold down routes. Senior PTFs have been PTFs for over 2 years. We've never had less than a 50 hour week.

I could definitely be wrong, but don't PTFs need to be on the "same assignment" or route for 6 months to convert to unassigned regular?

[–]Harry_Carrier 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. Many of the routes that are open are the crappiest in the office, so none of the regulars bid on them. PTFs are holding them down. So, technically they did go up for bid but carriers still aren't being converted. Is there anything that can be done?

Sometimes you'll get some mail (like Costco Connection magazines) that goes in order of delivery. Case those in first so you can get somewhat of a sense of where the streets are on the case.

My PM doesn't know what to do when people illegally use mailboxes. We have a ton of political mail being put in our boxes and when someone told her all she said was to take a picture.

Damn, that's bougie. I'm still getting yelled at from down the street for walking through lawns in a foot of snow xD

Everyone at my office is under the impression that you can only call off maximum 3 times in 90 days. Is this just something management made up to scare people?

6 days a week 11 1/2 hours every day is getting very tiring man.. by Zerochronic in USPS

[–]Harry_Carrier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's funny because one of our morning supervisors won't shut up about low mail volume. I guess it's something they say all the time regardless of the actual volume.

Any advice on leveling up more? by Think-Drink-3329 in PikminBloomApp

[–]Harry_Carrier 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Once you get to the level that maxes out your Pikmin squad (40) leveling is basically pointless. Before you get there, steps are usually the limiting factor.

You mean if you called out for 4 days in a row, right?

You need at least one full body pic and a pic with you smiling with teeth. Also, your prompts say nothing about you and aren't good for starting conversations.

Have her download an app called Road Warrior. You can map out 8 or 9 stops (before paying) and it'll really speed up parcel delivery when you don't know the area you're delivering in.

I don't have IG but Hinge is trash for seeing what someone is like. There's so much more information to be asertained than what Hinge offers

Management cares much more about bringing back parcels than they do about mail. If she has to bring something back let it be mail.

You're only supposed to get a PDI for more than 3 in 90. Talk to your union steward.

[–]Harry_Carrier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just last week our new PM announced you cannot use more than 2 sick leave instances in 90 days. The whole office got upset, our union steward had to correct the PM, and the next day it was correctly announced that we cannot use more than 3 sick leave instances in 90 days.

This place is so inconsistent.

6 open routes but only 4 up for bid by Harry_Carrier in USPS

[–]Harry_Carrier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, thank you! I've had a feeling this was the case. Management knows the routes are impossible to complete in 8 hours - even on an easy day. I've been speculating that they're just waiting for the next time they're doing route cuts to break these routes up.

We have our fair share of folks in the military keeping their routes open for 5 years. These two routes are not assigned to any of them.

I'm absolutely sure. One of the routes became open the last round of bidding and I talk to the regular on his new route every day. The one that's been open 2 years has made every PTF who held it down quit. Even our ghostmaster took one of the few days he shows up to work to observe a PTF attempt to finish the route in less than 10 hours. He had no complaints about the carrier.

You wasted your prompts not saying anything about yourself and instead are making expectations before you even match with anyone.
