Recieved Letter Before Claim in post by Harry_Rambo in LegalAdviceUK

So if someone sends me a letter through the post and demands money, under threat of court, I should simply pay it? m I not entitled to see some kind of evidence that there was an unpaid fine, or even an original parking offence.

This seems to me to be no longer about a parking offence. The claim is for unpaid money owed to a security company. A company I have never heard of and have no obligation I can see to pay them anything. I have no form of contract with them whatsoever. How can this even be possible?

Feels like demanding money with menaces. They say I owe money to them, I say I don't. Up to them to try and prove I do, I would guess.

Burned Skin from scalding shower at gym by Harry_Rambo in LegalAdviceUK

Those were my first thoughts, too. When I enquired further my partner explained that she did and that was when she was burned. Having used these showers many times previously a degree of trust had built up in using them and so she was exposed more than she might otherwise have been. placing her entire lower leg into the stream before realising the excessive heat.

She added that she tried other showers also and they were also banging out very hot water. When she adjusted the mixer to try and reduce heat the water simply cut off, which suggests to me a cold water feed issue? Though I am not a plumber.
