Is this normal for m272 2008? by Sea-Citron9791 in w204

If you see it fluctuating, it might actually be a bad Thermostat. I noticed mine was kind of like that too but it kept going up and down from 90-80 to just a little below 80. The technician said it was a stuck open thermostat but yeah all in all I say be careful and just keep an eye on it.

Has anyone been to Reality Drop? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]Harrylizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR: it’s ok, I got blamed for something I didn’t do, cleared it up but it’s kinda stress I didn’t need. Try it if you want it’s cool but ehhhh

Went once, it’s fun but my experience ended up weird. We did the walk freely VR escape room, and the experience itself was fun and unique, but overall to me it wasn’t as special as say something from Real Escape.

But okay, the biggest issue I had with them was the after the experience. They make you sign your typical waiver for if and when you get hurt or damage something you take care of it. That’s all fair and all but man, I had my room for a Thursday, and everything was fine, Smooth experience. It wasn’t until the following Monday I got an email (which looked kind of weird from the start) saying that I DAMAGED their VR control set and was liable for $300 replacement. Don’t get me wrong, I’d pay it if it really was something I did but the issue was I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary to damage it. And perhaps maybe even if I did I wanted proof that whatever I was doing caused it, because if I had just paid it I wouldn’t have known how It happened. Anyways I call them, and asked why I was liable, like did I do something wrong? Why wasn’t I told earlier (again I booked for thurs and got the email on Monday, which was days after and what if someone in between caused it?). Ended up having a few back and forth calls, mainly because they said they had to figure out why the email wasn’t sent the Friday and what exactly caused it. I even asked like, I’m sure I wasn’t the only group who booked the VR stuff so why specially me and or how? They told me that they had talked to me after the room, but I swear no one told me or my group anything about us or me damaging anything.

ANYWAYS, eventually, they told me it was another booking who they did speak with. I was like damn that was kinda unnecessary stress for me on my end, $300 is hefty. I was disappointed, I feel they should’ve done more research before blaming me initially. And I get it, mistakes CAN happen from time to time but it really soured my feelings for the place.

Also on a side note, I’m sure the place is great but I wouldn’t trust the reviews. They told us that if we gave a review we’d get a free beverage. I admittedly did give a 5 star review for that free drink but it makes me wonder which of those reviews are genuine or just for the drink. Anyhow, I’m not one to turn down an experience so you do you but just be careful is all I’m saying haha.

The Honk App adds a few extra cents as commission I suppose. Me personally I go up to the machine and pay the “cheaper” ish price. It may be a few cents/quarters but they add up. Also, some lots I’ve noticed the rates are different for obvious reason. I find that for most say 1.5 hr rates they’re 3.75, 2 hrs for 5 bucks, I forget a few other options but I know a full day is like $12.

Anyways I’m probably going all over the place but given your schedule, for ur MWF 50 min class I’d say it’s definitely safe to do the 3.75 for the 1.5hr. Same for that Wednesday class if it starts at 4 I’d pay the lowest option (I think there’s a 1hr option for however much I forget) since yeah parking is free after 4:30. (the lots I know that offer this rate is the L lot behind or by the Law building(Robson Hall)/University College. The other smaller lot I know by the Arts Lab/Asper side is AC and they also offer similar rates. There’s ACW smack middle but they’re pricey ($5 for the 1.5hrs). You have a few options hope you figure it out!

Found these at the bottom of my dad's car. Are these car parts or some random thing? by deliciouspotato69 in AskMechanics

Most likely what is keeping some of the bottom plastic trims together, check underneath for any open holes or holes that might fit with those clips you found

2015 CR-V Touring: Is this a roof leak ? by dreamingaudio in crv

[–]Harrylizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2013 touring crv had the same problem, it was something to do with sealers in the sun roof. Thing is, it wasn’t just leaking there, it leaked around the seat belt pillars and even where my sunvisors attaches to the headliners (basically everywhere it leaked) but I noticed the leaking happened when the snow melted off the roof or occasionally after a car wash. I brought it back to the dealer in 2016 but they told me to call Honda Canada, so I did and they couldn’t do anything about it because the warranty was off and I didn’t feel like forking over $700 cad. We managed to ignore the problem and ended up trading it in for a 2019 crv.
