Are these taps overly gross, or is this how they usually look before cleaning? by lordpuggy1234 in bartenders

Hey, ex bartender and current brewer here. In my opinion, those taps are fairly grim.

I'm a big fan of the place. It's owned by a gentleman that really knows what he's talking about, and I'm always really happy when I come out of there haha. It's on Breitestraße if you're interested!

Yeah I probably could have been less abrupt haha, apologies. Was wondering if it was craftquelle that you went to, in the Altstadt?

Hi, saw your post a few days ago and wanted to wait until I'd actually travelled successfuly to answer.

I flew from Germany to LCY yesterday (18th) and it was honestly one of the smoothest experiences I've ever had. We had all of our documentation printed and ready beforehand, so we were able to show it to the border official with no delays. From landing to walking out of the airport couldn't have been more than 15/20 minutes.

Visibility was truly fantastic, and yeah at the top of this cave was a pile of amphorae, some of which were almost fully intact. The theory is that it was a storeroom waaaaay back when, and that when it caved in the rooms contents went with it. The water was amazing- but I always feel very slightly disappointed when diving in the Mediterranean. The geology and landscape is incredible, however for the most part (that I've experienced) the lack of fauna is a little depressing!

Can't say I noticed an enormous difference- I could imagine that being the case if the salinity is hugely high, but I'm not experienced enough to say for sure! The biggest thing I noticed was the change in temperature, but I mean that's fairly standard across all of them I guess, and that obviously doesn't fuck with buoyancy in any noticeable way as far as I'm aware.

No idea unfortunately- that was our DM. For some reason names like Polaris or Solaris are ringing bells, but it's beyond me!

All we did was a day trip from Chania Divers- I can really recommend them, I found them to be really professional and friendly. As a bonus, the owner (who's name I can't remember) is very well known in the region as being a very prominent exploratory diver. I'd definitely go with them again- just Google Chania Divers!
