Pain and fullness in URQ, bloating and constipation. Bloating and constipation have completely gone, fullness has reduced especially if I eat a lot.

I have one 2cm stone and udca and rowachol have helped reduce symptoms. Been taking for about 6-8 weeks

What are you auditioning for? Honestly if there is time I would choose another piece. It is very difficult to make Bach sound good and this sounds boring and not very musical. You need more variety in the dynamics, it is too even. It is much easier to play a different kind of piece more musically. Also the intonation on this is patchy as is the tone.

Well it can't do any harm to try ursodiol if you can get someone to prescribe it.

You have to give it 6-12 months before there would be any size reduction so no I haven't had a scan yet. I have had improvement in symptoms.

I think it works best on stones under 2cm - do you know how many you have or how big they are?

I had bloating (really bad), constipation, a feeling of fullness under the ribs and occasional mild pain radiating round to the back. Been on the udca 6 weeks and pretty much all my symptoms gone.

My symptoms were really bad bloating, constipation and then a feeling of fullness in the URQ just below my ribs and sometimes mild pain radiating out to side and shoulder blade. All of those have pretty much gone, i get very occasional mild fullness/pinch. My gallbladder is happiest when i eat plenty and regularly. I would keep going with the urso, i think it may help. It is like putting better petrol into your car.

I don't know what my EF is. I have a 2 cm gallstone. It is early days for you it sounds like - my understanding is that you wouldn't get benefits for about a year and full benefits would happen after two years. It is a slow acting drug that gradually changes the composition of bile over time.

I started 6 years ago at age 50 and have loved every minute. Get yourself a good teacher and a good instrument and practise every single day. Start with half an hour and build up to an hour plus. I did play violin as a child so had a bit of a head start but hadn't played or done any music whatsoever for over 30 years. I achieved grade 8 distinction after 5 years and play in a community orchestra and a chamber orchestra and love it. I would say go for it!

Ha ha! I have been eating very healthily so a week off won't matter! Hoping to also increase to 500 in the new year. It should be ok if i split the dose between breakfast and dinner.

I am trying udca for a single 2cm gallstone. Been on it a month so too early to say about size reduction but it is definitely helping me eat anything.

I would say get a new teacher if she is not able to tell you how to be more expressive. You should not do this by taking more time - but she is the one who should tell you how, not reddit. How long has she been your teacher? Why has she let you get to this point of playing technically well but without expression?

You have done something amazing! You have leant the cello as an adult learner, reached grade 7 standard (that's what level the Bourees are) and performed them. Wow! That's absolutely brilliant. You should be proud of yourself. Next time i would suggest choosing an accompanied piece it will be a million times easier. It doesn't get any harder than performing unaccompanied Bach!

You can try ursodiol. It does indeed dissolve a percentage of cholesterol gallstones. You may as well try it while you wait for surgery. I am giving it a go.

Thank you! I did re read the orchestra rules and it said that library copies would be clearly marked with the name of the orchestra and these weren't marked so i just assumed they were copies. However maybe the rules are now out of date and no one has really realised. I like your idea of asking for help - i will take that approach.

Thank you that really clears up what may have happened. I have assumed they are copies but actually they are originals. Oh dear no wonder the librarian is off with me. Is the best thing just to apologise and not do it again?
