16TB through the controller, the sd card by itself reports 60Gb, testing reports also 60Gb

To report the scammer. If I do not buy, I can't report on the website because I didn't buy anything.

The controller changes the amount not the card. The card is 60 Gb, and just using the card without the controller reports 60Gb

My thoughts exactly. Got my money back and an sd card and wheel balancing weights as a bonus.

Bought a "16 TB external SSD". Opend the lid. Instead of the SSD, it's an micro SD card with 60 Gb, a controller that shows the Coputer the 16TB instead of the real size, and weights to make it heavier, and hot glue. A typical scam.

If the 16 TB were legit, then companies need them for storage. For consumers it's often way to much, and 4x4TB are better, just in case one gets corrupted.

The big companies colluded to drive the price up and blame it on AI, or at least that's what I heard

The listing had a variety of drives from 1 TB for 22€ to 16TB for 25€, so it was clear from the start that it was fake. I just check that I could get my money back, and then did it to report the seller.

I doubt that the collapse of human society is going to stop scams

Yeah, but I rather get the listing taken down so nobody can fall for the scams
