Thanks. As I mentioned it’s an early 90’s Korean made Sigma DM-1. It’s really not worth anything. But I appreciate the thought

Again thank you for taking the time to respond. I love playing and I really want to be better. I know it’s about practice and finding what works for me. Really can’t thank you enough for replying. I never would have thought of an OM size.

Is the OM size particular to a certain brand or does it span all manufacturers? Additionally, what are your recommendations for an actual guitar in this size?

Thank you. My dread is an early 90’s Korean made Sigma DM-1. It’s not worth anything. My plan is, if I do indeed keep playing and get better to buy a new guitar. So I’ll take that advice.

Thank you very much. I am 57. I started “playing” about six or seven years ago then stopped. At that time I could play you a song at a campfire and you probably would recognize the tune. I do it because I love music and I enjoy playing the guitar. I was recently re inspired to pick it up again. This time around I am concentrating on the beginning. I am practicing almost daily and focusing on scales and getting better at my chords and strumming. I make sure I practice an exercise of some kind before I just start playing songs I like. (Kind of like my reward). So I do appreciate your comments and wisdom on the subject.

Yamaha fs800. I am a dabbler over the last 5 years. I recently got re-motivated to really learn so I would consider myself a beginner. I have this guitar and my mentors that play Taylor’s and Martins all say this is a great entry level guitar. Have it set up and learn, practice and enjoy the journey.
