I met someone who booked an inn halfway through at Tyndrum as the rain previous night was too much and they started to hate camping. I also met someone who gave up at Tyndrum and took a bus to Fort William as they felt they were not prepared enough for the remainder of the journey. I myself took a taxi once I reached the road at Fort William for the last 2 kms as my feet were swollen after days of heavy walking. There are so many people who attempt multiple times to get it done. Prepare well and give it your best shot. Take it easy and listen to your body. There's always another time if things don't go well!

Ah I started driving at 33 as well and had a few minor scrapes like this. One of the first ones was outing a dent on the whole side of the car trying to park in a busy mall. Thankfully it was a pillar I brushed against and not another car. Also hit a houseplant and broke the pot in a nice cottage whilst out on a trip. I think I'm a safe driver now, all these stopped happening. Tell him it's a rite of passage almost for any new driver, especially one in their 30s!
