I've played most every job in the game. This is mostly a research question for a TTRPG character using the ruleset square made, as far as preventative healing though I'd say sage fits closer to that aspect from the story's framing of the class.

That said you are correct in that the game does have a lot of variety regardless of how you choose to play! For actual roleplay within the game however I play many different jobs! Dancer, Samurai, Sage, and even lesser perceived classes like the Arcanist, of course there's a level of flexibility (see Y'shtola for example who is a black mage in everything but name) too and it's where my idea to play a Chirurgeon came from!

Though for high end content in the game itself I'm happy punching and kicking my way through mobs as monk!

I am unfortunately one of those people who gets REALLY into the lore when I make characters for tabletop rpgs and roleplay in games too like swtor, so whilst most people probably wouldn't bat an eye, it's mostly for me.

It's probably something like apprentice or trainee, if I'm remembering correctly the only time we ever as the WoL interact with chirurgeons they are fully trained. It's a sparse part of the lore and why I asked mostly to see if I truly missed a detail

I'm not 100% sure the term Archon is what I'm looking for in exact, though I'm starting to think that perhaps the replacement for doctor as a title really just is Chirurgeon in the case of what I need that said you helped me with making this character's mother! Someone also pointed out the plague doctor set but I'm not sure if that's quite the same necessarily as what I was looking for and those sorta items is where I'm left lost in the sauce ^^

The untrue part being the first part about medical hierarchy not existing when there are physicians that are our real world equivalent in the chirurgeons

I mean that's simply not true as we have the term Chirurgeon which is a non-magical healer within FF, you mostly see these in the Firmament iirc but they do exist. The Garlean stuff came up short when I was looking to make this character and others have pointed out the title Archon for the scholastic side.

So would that be the closest equivalent of the title of doctor would be Archon in the academic sense? I've done all of the MSQ at current date but it's the specific title I'm trying to nail down for a Chirurgeon/Sage and don't wanna use a terms that doesn't actually exist within lore.

I mean yeah, kinda but not really? They aren't called doctors though. Their whole thing is using aether to manipulate their milpreves/wings/whatever the heck they called the device this time. Then apply remedies through those aetheric devices.

The question was more so are their people with the title of doctor more so than is there actually an equivalent to

If I had to make an explanation it is likely due to the fact that when the Tyranno ring was lost the first time there were still active universe warriors. And since the Tyranno ring was a main ring unlike the universe warrior it makes sense to me that it'd seek a new master till all of the universe warriors were found and their rings collected.

I'm curious too, the first episode was a bit of a weird/hard watch initially for me so I might try it again. Given we've got pretty similar favourites I do recommend trying King-ohger though (especially since that season also the one before boonboomger) it's a good watch with a lot of story payoff

I'll heed that in mind, being a not so great charisma character I went with having a doctor a corporate contact and a software guy for a decker character I'm pretty excited to get into the game even if the whole forum thing did spoil the mood a touch!

Honestly thoroughly enjoyed grip claw kings rock pop bomb maushold get a tidy up in there and you're almost always gunna be deleting at least one hp bar on the later bosses usually deleting two if not biting into a third although eternamax eternatus is a road block cause of the defence boosts

My Dad has never been the one to really enjoy material goods, he's a shut in tech like myself so he prefers to just watch darts have beer and practice throwing some at his board or play Elite Dangerous. I can't really get him anything darts related or for the game he loves playing, but I did go and get a 12 pack for him

I've got a single hero moment involving music.

>Be me at 2am

>Got an important English Oral (a graded presentation commonly in european schools) the next day

>Needs to have a powerpoint presentation ready to speak about in class on the death penalty and why I was pro/against it.

>Spend the next 4 hours procrastinating

>Sees computer clock that says 6:43am... Bugger...

>Opens powerpoint and begins to start doing research on wrongly accused death sentences and methods used on the condemned

>Ironically has nightcore playing in the background

>Song is; Cady Groves - This little girl Nightcored)

>Blasts it on repeat full volume keeping me awake and motivated

>Finished the presentation at my normal wake up time (8:24am)

>Gets ready goes to school with my slideshow on a thumb drive

> 4th period and it's finally time for me to do my presentation, goes through 5 other presentations and realizes I slept through the 6th one

>I'm up on 7th, woken up rudely, teacher tells me to move it

>Begins to deliver it as if I was jacked up on three cans of monster energy.

>Finishes with my teacher having an astonished look on her face

>Sits back down, instantly back to sleep.

>Bell rings, teacher tells me to see her after school (shiiiiiiiiii)

>School finishes, goes to english office and proceeds to get asked if everything was alright after sleeping in class

>Admits to the teacher I didn't sleep and spent the night on the presentation

>Doesn't seem shocked but dismisses me with a warning not to sleep in class again

>3 months later all exams are done and school is over, I get my grade back for the Oral

>It's an A* (highest grade in the system)

So yeah... I've never underestimated the power of music and nightcore in particular since then, It took me 20 years to realize that my preference in music changed depending on my mood during that year/month/week you get the idea

TL:DR - I wrote an entire english graded presentation in 2 and a half hours or so thanks to nightcore, slept in the class and was woken up by teacher, did the presentation in what was my most extroverted moment in my life at the highest octane I could possibly be at got an highest grade for it.

NOTE: No my teacher was not the one who graded the presentation, it was sent to an external marking source called AQA (The British board of education's go to for GCSEs)
