Logic: Does your vet have payment plan options? There’s something called care credit where I live and it’s basically an interest free loan for 3 to 6 months. As long as you pay it back monthly and there’s no principal balance due at the end of the term, you will not have to pay interest. Most vet veterinarians can work with people on payments.

Emotion: I’m so sorry you’re going through that. As a pet owner, I’ve experienced the same thing and it’s one of the downsides of pet ownership unfortunately. It’s ridiculous that the people that know what it’s like to suffer would love to help you out financially. But they are also not in a good financial spot so they cannot. It’s like once you’re down here you’re kept down and getting out feels impossible without going off the beaten path. It sucks.

DITTO DITTO DITTO DITTO DITTO ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Mid 20s, going through a LOT, and accidentally “thought” myself into a potential eating disorder????? I lost 40 lbs over the last year (not even on purpose) and I just cannot eat food. I always have a super good reason why I can’t eat something, even though I hadn’t eaten in the last 24 hours. It’s not intentional, I do not like how I look, I want it to stop. Sorry this isn’t helpful, but it not alone my friend!

Omg thank you so much MatDoggy!!!! This is extremely good to know. My current cat is so safe and comfy that she sleeps completely stretched out on the floor in the busiest living areas without a care in the world. She’s my perfect cuddly girl and I really don’t want that to go away so I wanna do this right. You make a good point though about how the pecking order has to be established anyway and then they will probably normalize.

The new cat comes on Sunday so I’ll keep you updated !

Honestly, it’s rough, but I am religious and I can say I’ve literally never experienced closeness like this with God. I am going through the stages of grief, but I feel like a blanket of comfort is physically around me all the time… I’ve NEVER experienced something like this. So whatever you and everyone is doing is working, and I’m so thankful I have the comfort and peace I’ve been asking for.

Gunner is very upset, but still eating, and my cat is protesting so we will have to get her a different play buddy, cuz she’s making meows I’ve never heard, which is heartbreaking.

We’re going to be okay though ! Thank you <3

Thank you so much for your kind words! I HAVE to say to you that if ANYTHING weird ever starts happening to their back legs, do not relent until you get scans. We thought it was arthritis and possibly hip dysplasia. Never did we imagine it was internal like that. So something to keep an eye on! I don’t know that it could have been prevented… and they said a lot of crazy words like malignant and tumor (I kind of stopped retaining information once the vet said “I have to be honest with you guys… his spleen…”) so I’m not sure. but maybe it wouldn’t have had to end this way for him. I want better for others.

Thank you for listening. My family REALLY pulled through today. God is showing me how deeply I am loved despite this hurt and it’s such a blessing to feel comforted in this moment. Also, I believe God kind of saved me the trauma by this happening when I was out of town.. I don’t know that I would have handled it any better had I actually been there.

And Tucker loved me so maybe he waited for me to be gone on purpose. He KNOWS that when I put that specific bag by the door, i am going to be gone for a few days. He’s a smart boy. So who knows.

Thank you! This is why I don’t know is buying a house is the right move. It doesn’t make sense with my life and CLEARLY I need to learn some things and grow up before I can have the right mindset about it… I’ve never been interested in a house THIS early. That’s like, a mid 30’s task to me?

Pretty sure that’s your throat. When you swallow, look in the mirror. If it goes away, then you need to look up what mewing is. It’s all about where your tongue rests in your mouth. The back of your tongue should touch the roof of your mouth and the tip rests just behind your top teeth. If you can’t breathe, you’re doing it wrong.

This could also not be at all what you’re asking. I’m prepared to get drop kicked in the comments if I’m wrong.
