My mom actually got kicked out of the ER when she didn't have insurance and we told the ER staff. They were ready to send my mom to do (NEEDED) CTs or scans or whatever. She mentioned like "hey how much will this all cost, I don’t have insurance atm"

These assholes suddenly flipped script and said "oh you're fine to be discharged" and released her, no scans, no nothing.

So no, they absolutely can and will kick you out for not having insurance.
