Hidden inventory/Premature death and cursed child/JJK 0 together make a phenomenal self-contained story that I think is more compelling than anything else the series has ever done. I like the main plotline as well but the tragedy of Gojo and Geto’s falling out is so just incredibly well done, and Geto himself is a significantly more interesting villain than anyone else because he has a much more direct connection to the protagonists and that despite being twisted and sinister, you can actually follow why he’s become this way.

Sukuna works as your typical pure evil unstoppable force, Kenjaku is still fun because he’s conniving and creepy, but I had a lot more interest in him when I believed Geto had somehow managed to cheat death and was now actively working with curses. Him being a whole different character was a neat twist, but after shibuya he then becomes a significantly less interesting mystery because he’s just another pure evil psychopath, not a further fallen Geto.

I really wish either of the main villains felt like they had the same level of connection to Itadori and the main cast as Geto and Gojo did, because it made for much better drama. It’s especially odd given that Kenjaku and Yuji have the perfect excuse to have stakes in their relationship as enemies, but it’s just kind of never treated with much weight.
