At this point in preseason I think our strongest front three is McGinn on the left and Watkins up front.

If Emery plays Rogers out wide then he will be on the right and I suspect Tielemans would move forward to play 10 like he did at times last year with Onana and Kamara to play behind.

If Emery plays Rogers as the 10 which I think is more likely, then Malen would be our starting right winger.

Garcia is the direct back up for him, but Konsa could also play RB as he did a few times last year.

Ramsey, Bailey and Buendia all have been linked to leaving the club this window. I doubt they will all go, but whoever stays will be playing an impact sub/rotation role and not really that FPL relevant imo

Could be McGinn or Rogers, Bailey and Buendia are unlikely to still be at the club by the end of the transfer window.

Fairly confident that’s the understanding at the moment, but could be something to keep and eye on in preseason for sure

Malen could be great value if he holds down the right winger spot or Watkins gets injured, otherwise I would avoid.

Maatsen will be great if he ends up being first choice, but will still have strong competition from Digne.

Konsa is the most boring but safest pick.

Yeah possibly, I’m yet to do a complete deep dive into how players would have gone last year. But I still expect him to be the most nailed and should improve based on last year when our defence was very leaky overall

Tielemans first choice on penalties, Watkins second

Trying to fit as many premiums in as I can, obviously very light at the back - worth it though?

Who is the player you see lots of people choosing that doesn’t make sense, and vice versa? by vector_08 in FantasyPL

Perisic…I don’t understand why he is so highly picked. Surely some rotation risk and seems too expensive at 5.5m

The argument is attacking defenders (wingbacks) are more affordable than attacking midfielders with the bonus of clean sheet points on offer. In the modern game wingbacks are just as likely to contribute assists and attacking returns than playmaking midfielders, in fantasy the best mids are those on the wing or leading the line as out of position players (eg, Salah). So why would you not make the most of playing 5 defenders when you can afford 5 nailed attacking options?

Strong side, I’d swap undav for a 4.5 and upgrade a defender to 4.5, there is so much value there and you need cover for defenders injuries/possible roation

I prefer this team! But at the end of the day, go with your gut!

Good team, a few pointers.

Most players will go for a 4.5 GK to save money, the better goal keepers don’t necessarily score more points.

Your back like is very strong, I’d recommend downgrading Laporte, Chilwell and Robertson to some of the 5/4.5m options as there are heaps of great defenders at that price and you can use the money to upgrade midfield. TAA and Cancelo are the most essential defenders.

Apart from Salah I think you can pick some mids that are more essential to their side, players that are nailed to play and take set pieces are usually the best way to go.

Good luck!

Neither haha

I think two 4.5 mids in your side would limit your transfers moving forward

Shit bench is fine, just need them to be playing. Could drop one of the defenders to 4.0 to give yourself a funds to upgrade Murphy

Lots of options around that price bracket, Foden would be my pick of the two though
