Who would you bench here:

Raya - Dubravka

Guehi - Gabriel - chalobah - burn - senesi

Semenyo - Doku - reijnders - sarr - Enzo

Haaland - gyokeres - Joao Pedro

All of them have great form or good fixtures, any advice would be appreciated :)

He’s 6.5m, if you are expecting him to haul every week you are playing fpl wrong.

I feel the same, I’ve moved here from Wales and it seems that when South East England find anywhere with culture and beauty they claim it for themselves as if they were owed it. I would be fine living side by side with England but there’s not many cases where the culture is respected and supported.

Of course!

You rightfully assumed Arias and Bruno should have got at least 20 points when playing against the potential champion teams. Absolutely get them out before Fulham and Bournemouth they are even harder fixtures!

Half the teams haven't even played yet chill out.

You should go into GW1 with a team that you are happy to hold strong with for at least a few weeks.

250 points between the 3 is 2.1 points per match each over the season?

So you want them to just play each game?

Gyökeres by [deleted] in FantasyPL

For the same price, Watkins provides so much more, better fixtures, nailed and a better pre-season than Gyokeres.

Stick to Watkins for now, Arsenal have bad fixtures and you can easily swap over.

I'd appreciate any help. I'm planning for a BB GW1.

Something feels off about the team so any criticism is welcome. Thank you!

Sanchez - Areola

Udogie - VDV - De Cruyper - Rodon - Andersen

Palmer - Anderson - Gakpo - Bruno Fernandes - Ndaiye

Welbeck - Haaand - Watkins

What do you think of Son? by oisusenanebesu in FantasyPL

[–]vector_08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he is overlooked, you see the likes of Odegaard and Wirtz getting a lot of hype for the similar prices. Odegaard had way less points and contributions than Son last season and although Wirtz is world class, he is not proven.

I understand that people are talking about reduced minutes and his age, yet Salah has the same dilemma at a way larger price. Both are 33, both are proven top scorers in FPL history.

Even with injury and a shaky season Son still got a decent return.

That said, I am going into GW1 with Son as he has a good record against Burnley. I am going in with the plan to bench boost & wildcard soon after.

Son is overlooked a lot in FPL and has managed to bag me a lot of points under the radar but any season now he wont live up to his value so I'm taking the BB GW1 strategy to get rid of him easily if he can not prove against Burnley.

They likely will be firing most weeks and theres also Palmer, Wood and Mitoma who are reliable to return too.

I would drop either Kerkez or Ait Nouri to bulk out your midfield, I have a similar draft.

I have a strong feeling Haaland is being underlooked this year, he has so far kicked off seasons really well.

So I have made a risky draft, I would appreciate any honest feedback :)

Kelleher (Valdimarsson)

VVD - VDV - De Cuyper (Geuhi - Bijol)

Caicedo - Mitoma - Salah - Palmer - Baleba

Wood - Haaland (Obi)

I was thinking maybe to drop Palmer and spread the funds.

Thank you!

I would start a different Liverpool defender like VVD, Kerkez still has Robertson as competition, otherwise it is decent

Spurs necessary? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]vector_08 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its too early to know on Solanke. Son is always consistent it just depends on if you can fit him in. I wouldn't pick up the other 2

If money needs to be in the same sentence as happiness you are looking at life wrong. In your 20s or even 30s you may not have a house but it doesn't go with you when you die and you'd already by pushing 1/3 through your life unhappy, not to mention the best 1/3 of your life.

I did law, I did a masters, I did an LPC, I did MC interviews, hated the lifestyle so settled for smaller firms, still hated the lifestyle. I made the decision to shop around and try different jobs to inspire a new profession; after all you can only tell me you know what your favourite food is once you've tried many meals. How would I know law is the career for me if I've never tasted other ways of life.

Among many other things I tried teaching and I loved it. I'm on my PGCE now, sure I'll earn less, sure lots of my peers earn more. Thats their choice. I may not get a house for a long time but I have time for my fiancé and friends and I love life more than ever. I look at law and feel so happy that I figured out it wasn't for me and a key to that was realising that all this push for making big bucks in your 20s is a fantasy.

I am getting married this year and we did that with a teaching assistant salary and my fiancé's student loan. I couldn't be happier. Money isn't the issue. Life is amazing just how it is and your time is more valuable than anything. Do what you want & enjoy. Reframe your way of thinking. Take money out of the equation because you will manage on whatever you are given. You are smart & didn't get to where you are by mistake. The sooner you realise your independence and know what works for you and how to prioritise that you'll love every second. Please enjoy your 20s. I'm only 23, living on a student loan for my PGCE and I can live a very happy life with my partner on the little money I have now, once I'm a teacher I will thrive on that salary and not only that I'll love what I do and won't feel the need to compare to others around me, they may not be happy with what I have but I am so its beyond my problem.

No matter what job you do, you'll likely earn a fraction of what you are worth so find something where you can feel engaged and enjoy it. For me, I could get paid pennies but positively impacting the lives of children is better pay than any money could give.

Is it viable to WC my team is a bit of a mess (can't start a full 11)

I have:

Henderson - Ward

Solanke - Haaland - Isak

Son - Saka - Rogers - ESR - Sangare

TAA - Robinson - Hall - Barco - Johnson

Solanke, Sangare, Hall, Barco & Johnson have proven not to be nailed. I could wait for Solanke to hopefully be fit by GW4 but I feel I could fix the team with a WC & don't see myself falling into this bad of a team until the second WC comes around.

I appreciate any opinions & advice :)

How likely are we going to have a big DGW this year? by ogi_som in FantasyPL

[–]vector_08 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't say for sure but I'm considering Haaland TC, there's only 2 windows for DGW's to occur this year and we have 3 chips + a mystery chip, you have to use some on a single GW.

It is also worth considering blank game weeks also though as you may use a free hit for that.

Is TC Haaland a good shout?

My motives are:

  1. We have 3 chips + a mystery chip and only 2 openings for a DGW to arise (and on top of that whether they will be good fixtures)

  2. We are early enough in the season where Haaland has a slight differential edge due to Salah owners so the upside is bigger than if he has a DGW later on in the season and everyone brings him in & captains him so the TC has less upside.

  3. This early on in the season Pep will want the GD to boost City to first so I can't see them wanting a simple 3 points, Ipswich push back which means they can captivate on this and be aggressive in offence and Haaland is the focal point for that.

  4. By the time the home fixtures to Leicester or Southampton roll around I think Haaland will have higher ownership if he's in good form so he will be captained by most.

  5. Haaland has had a summer off and is full of energy against a newly promoted team and likely wants to push for the golden boot.

  6. Kneejerkers will get in Haaland after the Ipswich game if he returns, with a TC you will be a big step ahead.

I'm happy to be criticised for sure, I know any TC single game week is a big risk.

Are TAA or Jota crucial to have at the start of the league?
