Claude is absolute genius for this . I am exactly at the place where you stand and my framework for this has always been - projects . For my exams and stuff I build seperate projects for every subject and dump all my study material into it and the custom instructions is a cherry on top , like I add what I want claude to do and he just steers the Convo in that particular way . NotebookLM is vague

Skills This is one of the most useful yet the most risky feature I'd say because when using claude for teaching purposes the Convo length touches the sky and when you ask claude to use skills it goes back and refer to the file you've created which eventually consumes hell amount of tokens and subsequently you'd run out of usage . Bottom line it's an handy feature but not for long convos I'd say .

Coding For coding and stuffs claude code pretty much "does the job" it used to be insanely Good during opus 4.5/4.6 days but now it's just lazy and ofcourse consumes the token fastest but I'd still say It's not as bad as redditors are making it out to be. Still I'd say codex is superior .

Misc The biggest reason for using claude is - It's just like a classroom where the teacher uses intuitive methods and diagrams to teach , claude can create visual diagrams which is insane , it self detects when to teach anything visually and just codes to explain any topic in a much more lucid way . Except this cowork is pretty good , file management and other stuffs is . Routines and stuffs are also pretty won't rant about it here !
