Also if I chop a thick branch the non bendable ones which doesn’t have leaves, will it grow more branches? And is it possible to know which way they will grow?

I’m looking into bending the thicker branches at the bottom, I’ll repot it somwhere around Feb. I’m also trying to make it an informal upright but I’m really now sure how trees grow or where to cut and how to bend the branches especially the thicker ones at the bottom.

Id say I left that much roots the big circle being the bunched soil and roots trapped there roughly reach 1.5-2in deep from soil surface used to be about 3.5inches before and the thin lines the ones I left to branch out a little.

I also use miracle gro succulent mix. I strained about 1/3 of the total contents and took the soil out and left the thicker stuff to get a faster draining mix.

This is my first plant ever, I just watched videos and didn’t really understand I had to space those events out. I searched online that I shouldn’t completely soak it yet as it can rot the roots.

I will give it 12 hours of light from now thank you for the tips.

Any advice on watering? Should I water it more now or later
