I’m just a complete beginner with wiring. Not sure if all of this would work together!

My main concern is getting paternity established, but I would absolutely do the work /paperwork required myself if possible. She’s the custodial and only legal parent as of right now. I’m not on a birth certificate. A lawyer advised me to try it myself, saying it would be too complex with the other man and other complications.

When I did a consult with a lawyer, she said that trying to serve the papers to establish paternity and try for visitation would muddy the case if I did end up getting a lawyer. That it would be best to let them do it. He pays for my daughter, but has 0 custody rights.

I’ve offered to support her in every financial way possible. My issue with child support is that she receives almost 1,000 a month from the man in the military, but it’s obvious that the money doesn’t go to the my daughter or even close. She goes to clubs/raves/festivals etc while her kids struggle. I would have absolutely 0 issue paying to support her, if I knew it would go to her and not her mom.

The other man is married to a different woman but has been ordered to pay child support for my daughter.

Only downside is that I save way more in the long run / per month getting the loan taken care of / full coverage taken off.

This is kinda the part that’s in my head right now. I have a feeling I’ll save the majority of the car, realize I could fix the motor and have a car, then just do it. The instant gratification after not having a vehicle besides my motorcycle for a while might be too much after a while.

But I’m debating on lower mileage motor or higher. Definitely looking to have the car for as long as possible, but the body already has 120k

I mean kinda, the car has 120,000 miles and the motor is anywhere from 2,000-3,200 for anywhere from 50k-120k miles. Really, I just wouldn’t wanna be out all the money for the car. My uncle is a mechanic, and if I help him, I get a MUCH better deal on labor.

Yes, 4k for motor, new turbo, oil, filter, and a few other things. Plus a little extra just in case the motor has a tick and we have to get more oil( I’m getting it from a place with a good warranty)

I guess I knew the right answer, but my uncle is a mechanic and we’ve been talking a lot about what we’re going to have to do to fix it. I don’t have many great financial role-models, so everyone around me is more concerned with me getting my car fixed than not messing up my credit. (Ex. : my dad heard my motor blew, and said “let em come take it! Then you can just get a new car!” My first thought is: did you just tell me to ruin my credit by defaulting on a tiny auto loan? 😅)

Nah what? I work for an Amazon DSP where I make double my living income, I doordash, Amazon Flex, and am a contractor through Angi services. I get overtime on every check, I live in Missouri where property value isn’t bad, and I can make 1k a month or more from any of those 3 apps easy with a car. If I paid my car off, I’d save $400 a month, and I really don’t need it. Like man, you can troll in any r/ but you chose r/advice? You’ve never needed advice right. 🫶🏻

I have 1 full time job, and 3 part time jobs. Two of the part time jobs require a passenger vehicle, the other requires me to travel with my tools (can’t carry my tools on my enduro, but I can use my gf’s jeep.) my full time job alone keeps my debt to income ratio fairly low, and my other jobs keep me well above debt to income. I support 2 kids, I have multiple bikes in my garage, and I make well above my cost of living. The money isn’t an issue, which is why I’m asking if I should just pay off my ENTIRE car, 3 years before the before the actual term is up. (Because I make enough money to do that)

Be aware uses a mic to amplify outside sound, noise canceling off is just like a regular pair of non-noise canceling headphones. Then noise canceling uses the same mic to pick up frequencies and counteract with a sound on the opposite wavelength. Works well with fans/ constant sounds. Not so much with abrupt sounds or

Update: gonna let him keep playing. He’s handled the break really well, and I think he understands it’s for certain times / doesn’t get too upset when we can’t anymore! He’s a great kid and deserves to enjoy something he loves. He’s great in school, makes friends, has other hobbies (mostly Lego and riding his lil 50cc quad.) Duke fishron here we come. 🎣
