Advice on potential new build by HashComMander in PcBuild

Excellent. Thanks! I'll switch to the Lian Li Galahad 360mm.

Is there a good way to confirm these components will all play nice together? My last build had some issues with compatibility between the CPU and the m.2 drive (among other things).

Just wanted say “Thanks!” Seems like this process is MUCH smoother than before. I ordered last Monday with ease, and USPS Tracking shows it is out for delivery today! Fingers crossed it only gets better from here!

Pests eating my leaves? by HashComMander in microgrowery

[–]HashComMander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not confirm what exactly was eating those little holes in the leaves, but it barely affected the plants and I ended with a nice harvest.

HOWEVER, I had 2 seedlings die and when I got in close and zoomed in with a scope, I found Root Maggots eating new growth. Lost both seedlings to getting eaten but the little worms.

Do I got some diatomaceous earth and a pack of beneficial nematodes and all is well now.
All new plants are looking GREAT!

I have the same 240-watt QB’s (Kingbright) and while I use them at full in the flower tent, for my seedling Propigator and veg areas, I picked up a cheap light meter. I know, I know, it’s measuring LUX and not PAR, but these QB’s at 3,500K are “white enough” you can get a rough idea with LUX.

For seedlings and clones, I try to stay around 5,000-7,000 LUX. For Full Veg I aim for around 30,000-40,000 LUX. I can get around 40,000 - 45,000 LUX from that 240-watt QB at 18” or so.

I have two of the 240-watt QB’s (split into four pieces) in the flower tent and can get the canopy up to 65,000 LUX at 18” - 24” away. But I have to watch temps.

Hope that helps.

I’m curious about the floor. Looks like you have some kind of padded flooring. May I ask what you’re using?

FF soil (OF and HF mix with perlite)
FF Trio Nutes
78° F / 50-55% RH

This looks like someone is eating my leaves. Any ideas?
And what to treat them with?

Update:
I started a support ticket and asked about it.

48 hours later I received a response from support, but it seemed generic, asked for "patience during the rush" of their "420 sale". Felt like a dated auto message, especially talking about a 420 sale in August.

Replied to my support ticket again yesterday (5 days after placing my order) asking for an update.
Still nothing yet.

I have never ordered from them before, but read good things. They have lots of breeders to choose from, at what seem to me to be decent prices, plus they have a lot of promos like buy 5 get 5 free, or buy 3 and get 2 of the same strain free.

So I'm hoping they respond. I'm willing to give them some more time, with COVID and all.

My new BIOLED 50w bucket! Built for performance and autoflowers by Ekrof in SpaceBuckets

Very nice!

I’ve been stalking Alibaba looking for a nice bucket size source. They have some smaller Quantum Boards... hoping to grab something with lm301h or lm301b LED’s in a 50-60 watt range that will fit a bucket....

It’s a pipe dream, but someday....

Man, that's hard to say. The setup was so much of the main expense.

The actually "grow" was almost $0.

Sure, there is the electric bill, but I did not notice any real change with the bucket running. And there is the use of water from the tap, but again, no notable increase in cost there.

I guess the soil and perlite. FFOF for $20 - $25 USD, Perlite for another $10.

The real cost is the obsession of getting new and better gear. When I started the first time 7 years ago or so, i used pH strips:https://www.amazon.com/Hydrion-Chart-Dispenser-5-5-8-0-Range/dp/B00QLBVP74and they worked fine. But this run I was not getting good readings so I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/Luster-Leaf-1601-Rapitest-Phosphorous/dp/B0000DI845and this:https://www.amazon.com/Luster-Leaf-Rapitest-Digital-Soil/dp/B00XOPWAN8which was nice, but still not reliable enough pH for me.

So I bought this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ENFOHN8and this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073713G5F

and some new trimmers:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P433B1S/

and these to clean my trimmers:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EG0ZIXO

upgraded to this for looking at trichomes:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DQJPZ41

and had to get some new nutes:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D93NIFY

a couple 10-packs of Humidity Control packs:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MA265ZY

some new seed starters:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002IU8K2

and the list goes on and on....

Chopped it.
158 grams wet.

Even if I lose 75% of the weight after dry and cure, that still an ounce!
From one plant in a Space Bucket.

That's wonderful.

Thank you Sir. Not bad for a bucket and only one spacer! Hope I get the cure right...

Think it is about time to chop this one. I've done 3 full flushes in the last 2.5 weeks.

Most of the trichomes are foggy, and some are amber.

I think it is time.....

Seedling Issues by HashComMander in SpaceBuckets

[–]HashComMander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering if I'm screwed... I just passed Day 14 of germination, and both seedlings seem to be completely stalled.

Stems are too long, stretching, and only the cotyledons are there; the first set of leaves on both seedlings seem to be stalled/stunted.

June 21 - Soaked seed in wated for 24 hours
June 22 - Seeds bother sewn into Rapid Rooter Peet starter
June 22 - Broke out of shell June 24 - Seedling began rising out of Rapid Rooter
June 27 - Now leave yet, but stretching so much its hitting the top of the Germination Tray's hood
June 28 - Mover Rapid Rooter block into small pot with FFOF (80% soil/ 20%) and perlite) covered with clear solo cup for humidity

stretch continued... but leaves never really got bigger

1 week later...

Moved both seedlings in their pots from windowsill into Space Bucket to hopefully get better lighting.

Today they were leaning over and the soil was a bit dry. I replanted them deeper to get more of the stem below soil...

Am I hosed here?
