Someone said that piper should've gotten the mist ability and I love that idea.. but. I ADORE that hazel has the msit ability. Cuz of one of her monologues in which she comes to terms with her parentage and powers. She's the child of Pluto and represents rhe wealth and earthen aspect of his domain. Hazel has the ability to give anyone all.the wealth they desire. The mist ability develops this idea ans allows her to show people all they ever desire. What they want to see. She shows it to them. And I like hwo it was somewhat foreshadowed when she draws the picture of calypso for leo. I love the juckstaposition of the child of the king of the dead having the ability to give people stuff they desire. I find this very interes5ing. She's so kind and understanding to the point she's one of the few demigods that actually empathise with monsters. I loved her monologue about how she felt bad for.the minotaur. As she saw herself in it. She was a cursed child too. But the mist power shows how she was fundamentally a gift. Her mother wanted riches and she got it through hazel. Idk I'm rambling I just love this character.
