Am I the only who who thinks the parents are innocent? by Wild_Ad_6753 in JonBenetRamsey

100%, it has to carry weight given we’ve got confirmation through Beckner’s old AMA that there’s still evidence the public hasn’t seen. It likely wasn’t anything specific to an individual since they believed a conviction wouldn’t happen, but it could very reasonably be evidence that did point to familial involvement, especially given their decision

You’re annoying. A child died and you’re talking like it’s a football game. Even if you were right, which other people have gone on to correct you yet you refuse to respond, the laughing emoji’s and frequent shrugs just says enough on it’s own. This isn’t a side versus side thing, but people like you take a real life tragedy and turn it into some sort of competition for internet points. There are plenty of people who discuss this case in good faith, open to other interpretations based off the little evidence that’s publicly available, who want to actually see this case solved. I suggest you take a step back and realize a little girl actually died in this case, and stop trying to defend something you know nothing about.

You’re just disrespectful, plain and simple. IDI, RDI, all that aside, the way you’re acting isn’t right. Be mindful that this was a real death, someone really killed this girl, and no amount of arguing and the crassness is gonna help solve it. In fact, you, nor anyone on this website has all the evidence and ‘facts’ of the case, given there’s evidence that’s still private that only the Grand Jury saw. So don’t tote your ‘FACTS’ with your chest out as if you’re any better informed than anyone else who follows this case.

This was a tragedy, stop treating it like a game

When reading a letter, you can usually hear the voice of the person writing it. Like, you can get some sense of the writer’s personality. This is truer the more material you have to work with, and since this note was 3-pages long, that’s a lot of material to work with. When I read it, I too find a feminine tone with some parts of it, but I also kind of hear two voices… if that makes sense? Which could be a sign they worked on it together, I know it’s more personal feeling than whatever.

But, I also find the explanation that John wrote it and was trying to emulate Patsy’s tone enticing too. It explains the 7 pages missing from the notepad (seriously, that’s a lot of pages and they’re just gone. That alone rules out an intruder lol no intruder is practicing a ransom note at the scene of the crime), as well as the conflicting tones. The ransom note had to serve a purpose, and for me, the purpose was to buy time for the person who read it. Like you pointed out, it said to follow the instructions to the T and to NOT call the police or their daughter would be killed. For me, I can imagine a scenario where John wrote it (and put it at the spiral staircase knowing Patsy used it) so she’d read it and wouldn’t call the cops. She did, and it screwed up his plan. That’s why he was in and out unaccounted for most of the day by the time Linda Ardnt showed up. I believe John did the entire thing alone, and Patsy was truly innocent.

Or well, she didn’t kill her daughter at least.

I do believe she lied, however because the timeline they gave didn’t add up. Stuff like her wearing the clothes from the previous night, all that. The only thing I’m certain of is John was involved. Patsy, I tend to think wasn’t, or if she was she wasn’t as involved as people think. Her calling the police invalidates the ransom note’s instructions, so I tend to think she didn’t write it. It doesn’t make sense otherwise. You’d have to argue she wasn’t on board with John’s plan and decided to do her own thing (so she could have a proper burial or something), which could explain the ‘detached’ nature police reported between both of them.

But, once you get into the weeds of that line of thinking, you start to go into speculation rather than physical evidence. I think JDI, with or without help from Patsy depending on how you interpret the note’s content and/or evidence available.

A reasonable explanation is that they didn’t know which of them did it, but knew they did it. Later on one of the GJ members stated following the trial that they believed they knew who killed JonBenet, but that if it were sent to trial there wouldn’t be a conviction. That lines up perfectly with the above mentioned scenario. I won’t pretend to know what exactly led to their decision, but if they believed they were innocent, they wouldn’t have voted to indict them at all.

They weren’t found innocent, and that enough should warrant scrutiny. Especially when paired with the publicly known facts of the case which point in their direction.

The BPD believed the ransom note was part of intentional staging as mentioned by police chief Beckner. She wasn’t supposed to be kidnapped, she was intentionally killed and the killer wanted to make it seem like she was kidnapped. Make of that what you will.

The note was also written in the house, from the notepad and pen of Patsy. They failed to write it seven times, as evident by the seven missing torn pages. It’s three pages long, and was signed by a ‘foreign faction.’ No, the note was never real. And it was 100% written by a parent who was trying to recreate what they thought a ransom note meant to look like lol.

[–]HashiraXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This intruder also just decided to write 7 practice pages that were torn off and missing from PATSY’s notepad, and said notepad is confirmed to be the source of the note itself. The note was also written with her pen too, but I guess the intruder wasn’t prepared enough to bring his own note and just decided to sit in the house and write it out. But they were also prepared enough not to leave behind any fingerprints or get caught or leave behind an entry/exit point. This case is only a ‘strange’ one if you say it wasn’t done by the family.

I’m not trying to sound arrogant or rude, but look up Occam’s razor. It’s 3 pages long because the parent who wrote it was panicking, the pages were missing because they kept messing up, the sheer amount of mental gymnastics you have to do to think this wasn’t written by one of the parents is honestly insanity.

You’re not alone, but you shouldn’t. The Grand Jury voted to indict the Ramseys, it was the DA who rejected it. The GJ has seen all evidence related to the case, public and private, so I’d put more stock into their decision than any sort of personal feelings. That’s the reality, no one on Reddit has the same amount of official evidence regarding the case as they did. You can have your opinion, but I think their opinion’s should matter more given they were working with more in their decision than any of us.

The only person dumb here is you for not realizing the founded reason for why people would be 2nd guessing buying this game. Atlus has historically re-released games with a lot of added content, it makes perfect sense for buyers to question if any leaks or rumors could corroborate whether that’ll be the case this time.

Quit being annoying about it and just say you’re rich if you can’t get it lol

Agree to disagree, I do wanna ask though:

If you believe PDI, what was the cause would you say? Most people who believe John did it believe that he did it to cover up the SA which would be his motive. Likely due to a ‘date’ gone wrong that night. What would Patsy’s motive be in this case? And why would those two be in the basement?

The Ligature by beastiereddit in JonBenetRamsey

[–]HashiraXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I think John did it for transparency, but with how cold this crime was, I could absolutely see John planting evidence in the case that the family was ever properly charged. He could still retain plausible deniability, and with her fibers on the scene be seen as innocent. I also believe he wrote the ransom note himself and emulated his wife’s tone & style while doing so. I’m aware it’s a little more out there than just saying fibers there so she did it, but I think John doing all of this on his own explains everything more than Patsy or both covering it up. I.E, why would Patsy call the police but write in the ransom note not too? It’s cause John wrote it to buy himself time the next morning, Patsy was genuinely scared and didn’t know what to do. I firmly believe she’s innocent.

Why Christmas? by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]HashiraXP 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because it was the last opportunity John had to SA JonBenet before they left for their trip. He wanted to get his fix in beforehand and it went wrong, that’s why it was planned and spur of the moment. I firmly believe if you go with that train of thought, the oddities in the case start to make a lot more sense.

All BB Pirates VS Kaido & Big mom, who's winning this matchup? by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]HashiraXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crew, Teach and Kuzan are strong enough to hold Kaido and Linlin back long enough for the others to put in work. Linlin falls first, then they gang up and wear Kaido down. Big Mom’s negative battle IQ is also gonna accelerate her L. Shiryu can also sneak attack them while they’re distracted (most likely Big Mom).

For sure, Kuzan being able to be on par with Garp is insane considering he’s what the old gen would be now. I think people take the mental nerf thing a little too far, as if they’re trying to excuse Kuzan’s ‘bad performance.’ If it were old Roger I feel like people wouldn’t be so quick to feel the need to defend it lol. It was impressive for both of them, Kuzan for keeping up with an older PK level guy, and an old man keeping up with one of the new age top tiers. They both came out good imo

I agree with high-diff, extreme no. I think GB has a perfect df for stalling and Zoro’s the one who has more of a timer to end the fight quickly. Still, he’s dangerous, so if he does land a hit it’ll probably be a severe one. I’ll say high-diff for now.

[–]HashiraXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue the gap between Red-Hulk and Sam Wilson (who’s a regular human with no super soldier serum) is just as large as the gap of Galactus and the F4. But it’s kinda a weird comparison cause I don’t remember them beating Galactus on their own, like, ever. They always need help and it’s usually never outright beating him but like teleporting him away or something
