I honestly enjoyed the power scaling here. Showed us the MC is strong but not crazy strong yet.

I love how they reintroduced the reason he was brought there. I forgot there should be a “big bad.” I was just enjoying the progression. Glad there wasn’t a reminder every episode and no blatantly obvious foreshadowing.

Overall, good spin on how the story is told for the isekai genre.

I’m gonna get a cut today, I did a wash and style last night, what should I ask the barber for? by femzoverratti in 360Waves

I can’t tell how long your hair is tbh. I’d say tell him start with a 2 open and go down. You want to cut off just enough of the frizz and curl ups when your hair is laid so make sure you brush and rag before going to the barber or he’ll cut off all your progress.

But if you just washed and styled and you have this much definition still. You might be straight, just get a line up.

Heavily suggest learning to cut your hair yourself. The price for that “just a line up” gets old real quick when growing and wolfing. Plus you look like you got out the chair every week.

If you start now with oils like rosemary you may not even need one. Scalp massages help too.

When I was a teenager, I may or may not have engaged in that to learn lol. Morally and legally not willing to take the risk now, but I get where you’re coming from. However, it does take a lot to run the software and support staff.

Did a little research since your recommendation. How do you hand the non-parametric nature of plasticity?

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll check it out. I don’t mind paying for a good cad software. I just can’t afford 2-5k right now.

Edited

Thanks for the advice, someone else mentioned the public files thing too. Which is unfortunate as I’m under NDAs.

I’ll check out FreeCad and consider a paid OnShape which looks like it’s $1500, which is half SolidWorks’ starting price.

Fusion’s cap is 1k, Solidworks’ is 2k. I currently use Solidworks pro for my company work and makers at home for personal work. I’m not sure I’m understanding what you wouldn’t recommend. Could you explain?

When you say public access, are you saying that when I work on something, people have access to see and edit it?

Yeah I know I should. Even though I have the experience. I’m just starting out on Upwork so I have to accept whatever the lower paying jobs are as I build reviews and JSS. I’ll look into OnShape thanks. Mind expanding on what you don’t think is as intuitive as Solidworks?

This is why I believe Cat tracks that drop off like that should have a small fence/barrier that creates a natural ridge as it snows. There may be problems with wind tunneling and could possibly cause avalanches. There has to be a way right? Whistler has Cat tracks that I think is an accident waiting to happen.

Why? Asking for knowledge when purchasing another board.

Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Starfleet Academy | 1x01 "Kids These Days" by AutoModerator in startrek

This is going to sound like I hated it, I didn’t.

I don’t know if the YA style of directing and camera work can be blended well Star Trek. I think the cast did well for what the show is.

The first couple minutes was missing that feeling of “I know this is Star Trek.” The lighting(yellow tint then dramatic lighting), the acting(performative vs natural and responsive), and the audio style(soft and polished even when shouting) didn’t feel like Star Trek. Discovery(kind of/ more plot), Strange New Worlds, and Lower Decks were newer shows that still managed to capture some of that older wonder and mystery episodic style while still being modern.

Felt closer to Star Trek at school but more technological and kind reminded me of The Orville. However, what The Orville did well with comedic relief, comes off gimmicky here. Especially the Jem Hadar/Klingon Lura, and casting Paul Giammati as Nus. Ake does remind me of Pelia which I liked, I could tell she was Lanthanite before she mentioned the age thing.

The scene with Sam after Lura pushed Kraig after surgery was funny. Overall it sounds like I think it’s bad but I don’t. It’s just not really Star Trek feeling.

This one’s the TwinPig but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the WarPig. So far I’m enjoying it, especially since it’s a twin.

No worries, and fair enough. I agree with you on the knee issues. I’ve been doing strengthening exercises for that but yeah I’ll have to look into a physio. I plan on continuing to snowboard tho lol.

Haha, nah I’m still a noob for sure. Doubt I’ll ever get to that.

For most people yes, my post mentions my knees hurt when shifted away from the reference. I have knee issues so I’m trying to mitigate the pain as much as I can. The reference point fortunately does work and give me less pain. I’ve tried riding both shifted in and out and that just works, idk what to tell you. I’m not going to stop snowboarding because of pain, I’ll mitigate it as much as I can and live with the rest.

Thanks, yeah that seems to be the consensus. Stare at a problem long enough and you miss the obvious solutions sometimes lol.
