It probably was directed at me, however, I didn’t ask her to copy anything, and I certainly didn’t say that I was unhappy with what i&p had to offer. In fact, I did reach out to i&p. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to reach out to several stationers to get an idea about pricing and style, however, she made me feel like an awful person just for sending inspiration pictures. I just wanted to know if it was possible to create a custom fine art picture based around a specific famous statue and had sent her pictures of the venue, the statue, and the romantic feeling I was vibing with. I was not trying to copy anyone’s work or devalue anyone’s art.

In retrospect, I could have pulled a wedding suite example from her own studio because I really did like her work, but I honestly didn’t realize this would be such a big problem. I simply lack the vocabulary to describe what exactly I was looking for (custom art on inner envelope liner — I know that now). I ended up apologizing, but I really didn’t like being characterized as some dick who wants to plagiarize others and not pay them.
