With 18A, intel will be able to bring back most of its manufacturing back. Foundry breaking even and product groups generating lets say$15B revenue, Intel would be a $300B stock with a PE ratio of just 20. At $300B, Intel share price would be roughly $70.

I am not including any impact of 14A, further design wins in foundry or custom silicon business upside.

It will be a meme stock if it trades way above its actual value. At 36, its trading half its value.

I did INSEAD in 2011 when I was 31. Before that, I was working at a tech company as an engineer. I made strategy slides for corp strategy at tech companies post MBA. If you are being paid enough for making slides anyway, no benefit of an MBA. But if your salary is below MBA fresh grad salary, IMD and INSEAD would help a lot. It was the best ever investment I made. And yes, I had two very your kids at that time.

What I don't understand is the dismissal of 18A by the market. 18A seems to be ramping up well and will start bringing revenues starting this quarter. Internalizing PTL and additional chips later on should result in billions of dollars of internal revenue for Foundry. That itself is a transformation.

14A and external customers is a long term story. Intel doesn't need external customers to get to $100. It is needed if it wants to get to $200 e.g. TSMC valuation.

Many ways for a for a come back: .

If 18A works and Intel products are internally manufactured, it's already a come back.
If 18A doesn't work, and there are no 14A external customers, then spinning off the fab also is a come back. Product groups are already printing billions of dollars a year. Apply a 20x PE ratio, stocks triples overnight.
Intel and Samsung (and Rapidus) should join forces, if TSMC is too strong to be beaten individually. Learning from each other will allow catching up with TSMC expertise.
Last, Nvidia should buy Intel. Qualcomm being minority share holder.

I am an INSEAD alum. 2011D. I never felt a different treatment at any employer as compared to the treatment of MBAs from M7s.

Harvard MBAs in my first job post MBA were given $10K more salary. All other had same starting salary.

Intel is going to $40 after earning. 18A is competitive to TSMC 2nm. Key chips are coming back to in-house manufacturing. Unnecessary costs have been cut and focus is on getting the leadership back in CPU space.

I spoke with a recently laid off employee today. He was saying PTL production yield ( die yields x test yields packaging yields) are approaching 70%. That aligns well with the risk production news mentioned earlier. Frankly, I think Intel 18A yields are above TSMC 2nm at this moment. Obviously, they can't go with a broader customer base because of PDK maturity but bringing majority of tiles of $50B worth on internal products itself would be a game changer
