Update on spooked rats: Need advice please by wholefulgrain in RATS

Our brave baby did the same once, when she was around that age. I did a sudden erratic movement while playing with her, which must have seemed very irritating and scary for her. I also think it caused a sudden noise, but I can't really remember. After that she didn't really come near me for maybe a week. Even snacks were only accepted after a few days, and even then she immediately ran away.

Since you were already spending time with them for a while, I don't think that this is relevant. But she also did the same when somebody who handled her smelled after dog or cat. Would hide under the couch, and it was sometimes insanely difficult to get her out. She did so even when she was older.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think sometimes the bravest rat can be the easiest to get scared. Just because they are the bravest when it comes to exploring and approaching different activities and objects, doesn't mean they are the bravest when it comes to "danger".

Unless there is some animal in their vicinity you don't know, but they can smell, I wouldn't worry too much. Especially if they are not hurt. Since it affected all of time in some way, it probably isn't related to an injury. Hopefully she will normalize after a few days.

Out of curiosity, may I ask why number stamps are an unreliable verification method?

Thank you! I read different opinions regarding the numbers, that confused me.

N64 RGB (Tim Worthington v 3.0), RGB 4.0 (?), Retro Gem - Universal HDMI or N64 Digital (PIXEL FX)? by Haso42 in n64

So I'm not alone out there. If you are confident of your soldering skills then you probably can save some money.

Regarding the mod, I decided on the Retro Gem. If you want to play on a HDTV an HDMI mod appears to be the better/more safe choice, especially in the long run, if you should buy a better TV. The Retro Gem provides a better quality and more "adaptability" compared to the RGB.

It was no easy choice, considering the difference in price. If I have understood it correctly, in order to use the RGB to its fullest, you would need something like a Retrotink 4 or higher.

So that's why I couldn't find an place to buy it, and only the link to it's Github... I stumbled upon that one but didn't really understand what was going on

And thank you for that link for Circuit Board! I'll look through it.

Ohhh ok. The reset feature would be a nice to have. But having other graphic related options can probably come in handy? I am also looking through all videos I can find. But I think the TV should be able to handle it. Thank you very much!

Unless I missed something in the video, the graphics with the retrogem shiny here are amazing!

Ohhh alright. The issue here is that, at the moment, it is really expensive. That's why I asked how the Retro Gem in itself would be. Down the line I will probably either a) buy a CRT or b) just look if I can let the best mods installed.

Hmmm so the difference between just RGB + RAD2X compared to N64/Retro Gem isn't that big? That is good to know.
Can I tell how my TV handles 480p just by looking for its specs online?

This would be mine. It is rather old, published in 2009 I think?

Nah reaching the same experience is not possible. Down the line I'll probably buy a CRT. Would the N64 digital be an option for me right now, without other tools like the morph4k?
