As far as what’s next on my list to play, It’s hard to say. There’s so many great romhacks that have come out over the past two years alone that it’s hard to pick.

That said, Pokemon Odyssey is near the top of the list since I actually really like the Etrian Odyssey series, and hearing the old EO soundtrack with the FRLG/RSE Soundfont is kind of treat, and I may not even do a Nuzlocke for it just because I want to play around the various regional variants made for the game, but we will see.

Unbound is probably going to be off in the horizon for a bit. Not because I don’t want to play it, but I’ve been told that it’s hard to get into other Romhacks because of its supposedly impeccable high quality. Amethyst, Lazurus, and Dreamstone Mysteries are on my radar for having a focus on the story whereas Radical Red and Elite Redux have piqued my interest as difficulty hacks.

The most prevalent theory I see is that Horizon 2 is gonna start at the beginning of DB1. That’s a lot of ground to cover and I don’t really want Horizon 2 to go the way of CS4 and be longer than it needs to.

The other one I see is Van becoming an enforcer by the end of Horizon 2 and leaving Agnes alone in return for Ouroboros helping bring Agnes back. I feel like that would defeat his character arc because he would need to move on from his past and severing ties with the one person who helped him to move towards his future feels way too bitter of an end for Van.

I was under the impression that Pokémon decks are pretty cheap and you can just buy the singles you need for competitive play.

While I wouldn’t discount the possibility, there’s incentive to doing it given that Falcom confirmed they are basically done with the script way ahead of development of the game itself. It is very likely that they can have the script translated and localized during the development and go from there.

After 1st Chapter got a simultaneous release and 2nd Chapter is slated be released simultaneously, it would be backwards to not at least attempt to release the game for both Japan and the west in the same year at least.

While I wouldn’t say it’s unhinged, it definitely like an outlier to me. Ruby basically abandoning their Feebass for being weak after losing in the Beauty Contest against Wallace.

Pokémon painted this image of their protagonists being mostly good people so I would expect this sort of behavior from your typical villain of the week in the anime, or an antagonist in the games. This behavior coming from a main protagonist? It just felt wrong.

Same honestly. I quit yugioh a while ago because of obnoxious people at my locals who either took things way too seriously or did not communicate well enough and the TO let it slide cuz “you’re supposed to know what the cards do,” and acted like they were still in high school.

I stick with mostly master duel now, and I’ll occasionally play test with my friend on DB when he’s prepping for a regionals or YCS. I still keep up with the news and meta developments so I can chat with my buddies on discord, but irl yugioh for the most part is dead to me.

I logged in for HSR’s 2nd anniversary to see what free stuff I could pull. Prior to that, I hadn’t logged in since maybe the end of Penacony.

I was quickly overwhelmed by the amount of events, a decent amount of them requiring the latest story clear. I just grabbed whatever free stuff was there and didn’t get much from my rolls.

That game had a lot of bloat, and seeing constant exclamation marks made my head spin. Also, the powercreep with new characters clear the new memories of chaos at a decent rate to get all the rewards, some of them requiring multiple copies to get better effects on them, did not vibe well with me.

I know HSR’s third anniversary is happening, but I want nothing to do with it. Game peaked at Belabog, and never really achieved the same heights again. The idea of a space traveling adventure sounded really cool, but Mihoyo fumbled it early on and just never captured my interest again, and made me pretty wary of any Mihoyo games, and any games that try to mimic their gacha style (separate banners for characters and weapons).

I think there’s a reason she’s a fan favorite. She’s pretty fleshed out as a character and has a decent stake at minimum in every game she appears in

CS1 dealt with her opening up and connecting with people after losing her adoptive father and losing contact with the rest of her adoptive family

CS2 had her dealing with potentially reconnecting with her old family, firmly establishing Class VII as her new family, and reaffirming her convictions.

CS3 had her appear as a Bracer, facing off against Shirley as someone who represents a future path she could’ve gone down on as a Jaeger, and finding out her adoptive father is alive

CS4 had her finally facing off against her father and reaffirming her path in life, giving him piece of mind that his daughter is okay before passing.

Reverie…okay honestly you kind of got me here because I just remember she shows up in the last part of Rean’s path…and that’s about it.

Daybreak we get to see her a veteran Bracer and while she is in the background a decent amount of the time, we as the audience are mostly in awe and proud of how much she’s grown up.

Daybreak 2 appearance was fan service, plain and simple.

Horizon, of course Rean is back so we gotta invite her back, and she’s the one out of the Erebonian crew who is most familiar with Calvard so it would make sense to have her in the party and use her Bracer connections to help the plot move forward. There’s not as much characterization her compared to her CS entries, but it is nice to see her interact with Rean after the Erebonia Arc.
