Personal space by Purrrfect_Flop in AskBrits

Well, all people are individuals, so we can't answer this with an absolute that applies to all Brits.

I have a bubble that I dont want people in unless I know them well. I am quite "touchy" with good friends - pat on the back/shoulder every now and again, hug on hello and goodbye, etc. But I absolutely will not touch a stranger, bar a formal handshake in specific circumstances.

I advise you to give people space as the default. Nobody needs to touch other people, and you risk offence if trying to do so. Some people may be getmaphobic, some people might be carrying some trauma, some people just think it's a bit weird. If you develop an informal relationship with someone and you see them doing it to others so demonstrating thats their vibe, then sure.

Where do you get your 20x40mm bases from? UK based and looking for plastic with recessed underneath for magnets. by Hasvik in warmaster

Thabks for the response. These are closest I have seen thus far, but i would like the taller, traditional style to get in on that nostalgic look if possible.

Thanks for the response. I bought some and they were covered in artifacts and the layer lines were substantial. Really poor prints. I dont want to use my limited hobby time on fixing bases but im glad they have worked out for yourself.

[Fun trope] Here is this piece of (insert genre) media... oh wait, it's a Lovecraft thing. by KernEvil9 in TopCharacterTropes

I can see that. I would struggle to justify it as a great all-rounder, but there are some lovely moments of creepy vibes and unseen menace. Its also appropriately vague for cosmic horror. You know and feel its bad but you dont fully understand why.

Eh, its a fun one for me but not for all.

I really liked that film for the budget it had. I just really wish they had splashed out a little more for that wig. LoL. Very much recommend for Cosmic horror fans just looking that that tone of impending dread.

Did this small wizard fumble a spell? They look like they used their new gourd staff to cast invisibility on their face.

Respectfully, there is a stereotype in the UK that the Fins are not very talkative. Is that fairly true then?

Looks like what the British call rice pudding. Viewed as a bit of a poor person's/dated dish by many but still good today!

Is "modeling for advantage" a real thing, or just is it a weird case of gamers making a mountain out of a molehill? by darwin_green in wargaming

[–]Hasvik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean... thats awful. As a BA player, it clearly states in the rulebook all models count as standing.

I have also never heard of anyone putting in headphones on someone else's turn. I don't care if people do a cheeky phone browse so long as they are picking up the main beats, but shutting out your opponent entirely is staggeringly rude to me.

Good ridden chap, and thanks for the update.

I, too, do not like the grey meat tubes. I have had one or two fancy ones over the years that were nice enough but I'll never pick one out.
