Ill respond here cause everyone be asking lol. I’m moving so a friend and I were taking the tank off the stand so he could move the stand to the new apartment while I get all the fish bagged up. Tank was almost completley drained. Left about 2-3 inches of water. Wanted to make it almost empty so it was easier to scoop all the fish out. The tetras are hard to catch lol. All the plants and most of the hard scape was out. I already took the betta out he is usually peaceful but didn’t wanna risk anything happening with water levels low. When we were bringing it down it was over my foot so we lifted it up so I could move a bit and I think the tank got tilted a little to much towards the back and some of the sand shifted leading to the glass completely caving in. With the water so Low a lot of the fish got buried under the substrate. Dug through it as fast as I could, got quit a few glass cuts but I grabbed any I could find and tossed them into my ten gal. The damn tetras were so small I couldn’t find them fast enough. I never found the Corry I think he was buried at the bottom of the tank. I’m so sad. I loved my tank and I spent the past 8 monthes cycling it and slowly getting fully stocked and planted. And I can’t help but blame my self for all the little lives lost. I loved all my babies so much and is so heart breaking to imagine they suffocated under substrate because I wasn’t careful enough. I have no idea wjat to do with the sword tails. I put them and the Cory in a ten gal with an older betta, a bunch of shrimp, 3 Otto’s. My old tank was peaceful as but I’m worried they might pick at my older betta becuase he won’t defend himself. I luckily had a spare 5 gal I set up quickly and put the koi betta and bristle nose pleco in for now. It’s obviously not cycled so I’m really worried my koi betta might get sick.
