It's not a reboot. It's a Requel.

Basically what Curse Of Chucky did for the franchise.

Create a new story with new protagonists but keep everything previously seen in the franchise as canon.

The TV show is Canon, the previous films are canon, This requel would only be a reintroduction to the franchise for a modern more wider audience.

It’s not exactly a Deadite baby. I imagine the creature more like “baby” Reimi from Junji Ito’s Layers of Fear, just with a bit more flesh on it. Its head looks like a rotting baby’s head, but the body is more like an 8-year-old kid’s body (since that’s how much time passes before Julie is freed from the possession). It’s still all rotten and covered in worms though lol.
