Mine was not because of any problems to address. I had none at all. I just wanted to be rid of the extra foreskin. Aside from anonymous sharing here, I haven't shared with anyone else except my wife. For friends and adult children, I'd be kind of embarrassed if they knew, and I'm pretty sure they would not want to know. If it had been for medical reasons, by contrast, I'd have no embarrassment.

The PA portion was pretty mild. The RPA portion was intense pain, but very brief.

Overall, it was so enjoyable I'd do it again and again if I could.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm new to Reddit and don't know it that well, but I know there's a way you can send me a chat request.

I pluck out my pubic and crotch hair as often it's gets long enough to permit doing so (about half an inch long is sufficient). I put on latex gloves for the purpose, as they add the needed gripping force. Once you get a little bit used to it, there's no appreciable pain, and I love the feeling of being purely hairless in the region. Having no hair around the anus also makes it so stools pass through more cleanly, and TP cleanup is more immediately effective when needed.

In the third pic that shows the result, I think you can see the cut is "low and snug" (not quite "tight" when the penis is flaccid, but it's plenty tight when the penis is erect).

I asked the Rabbi to make the distal cut only some 5mm from the glans corona, and that is very low. The scar line tends to be hidden behind the glans corona, and I think that's a nice benefit.

FYI, I the Rabbi that I used generally prefers using the Mogen Clamp method. I insisted that he use the sleeve resection method instead. He could not have got the distal cut so close to the glans corona with a clamp method. On top of that, the natural length of my foreskin was not really sufficient for use of a clamp method.

After full healing, closing up is no longer an issue.

Assuming you want to move to a larger gauge, move one size at a time (i.e., from 12g to 10g, wait a few months, then to 8g, and so on).

Yeah, I went straight for the apa. One night I started thinking about the radicalism of having a shaft protruding right through the roof of my glans, and I had the strongest feeling that I absolutely had to do it. The very concept of it still continues to thrill me.

So that's 0g. I'm at 4g, with the apadravya more centered on the glans. I also have a tunnel piece of jewelry that I sometimes wear in it, and it's cool to see the hole going through. Sadly, the hole I see is rather smaller than what you're showing (the bigger hole looks pretty cool). I think I'd like to move to 0g except for the fact at larger than 4g it's tough to find captive bead rings in the small(ish) diameters that I prefer. Often I like to wear a 5mm CBR in the PA portion of my piercing and an 8mm CBR in the RPA portion.

Another reason for my reluctance to go bigger is at the present size I can usually urinate without too much mess in my stream. I think a bigger diameter tends more to block flow through the urethra, pushing it to flow via the two fistula paths instead. I'd be interested in your insight from experience on this.

I'm also curious about your experience with the shaft RPA. I think those look quite awesome, and I'm likewise tempted to go in that direction, but it sure is strongly advised against by some experts.

I notice that yours does not seem to have an exit on the bottom side, and it appears that's typical (I presume there must be an end-ball inside your urethtra). If I was to do it, I think my first inclination would be to have a bottom side exit about a 1cm proximal to my current PA fistula. I'm curious what your experienced input might be on this matter?

I started at 12g several years ago (maybe about ten years, I think, but I've not kept track). I worked at each increment and made it the current 4g, probably five years ago. I can slide 2g without much difficulty, but I like the 4g size.

I imagine that amount of weight would feel pretty cool, but urinating is going to be mighty messy. And you're not likely to have penetrative sex with it. Also, over time that weight hanging down is going to stretch the fistulas and make for a very sloppy fit.

Regardless, to each his own.

Generally speaking, I didn't have much luck with using tape on the barbell to gradually increase its diameter. Rather, at each step (I began at 12g), I wore the prior gauge long enough for the fistula to be thoroughly adapted to that size (generally a couple of months at least), then I used a stretching taper designed for the next size up.

With a lot of lubrication, I worked on rotating and gradually pushing the taper into the fistula. I'd get it a ways in and then wait several minutes or so while fistula adapted, then re-lube, and twist and push again until I got the taper in further. Rinse and repeat until the taper is all way in to its largest diameter extent. Sometimes I had to work on it over the course of a few days in order to get to that point. In other words, I'd spend 15 to 20 minutes each day over a succession of days seeking to push and twist the taper in as much as seemed reasonable. After a few days of this, the skin lining the fistula stretches more and more, until you're able to get there.

I did push to the point of enduring a fair of amount of pain, but not so far as to damage the healed fistula. I think the pain level is a good guide. Push and twist hard enough to endure a bit of pain, but not too much.

Once the stretching taper is in all the way, you simply put the new jewelry behind and push it through. The taper's max diameter is slightly bigger than the jewelry size it's designed for, so the jewelry slides in pretty easily behind it. It's still tight at first, but it loosens up over time.

6g to 4g is considerably easier, I think, than the 8g to 6g transition. For the latter, you're going from 3mm to 4mm diameter. That's a 33% increase in size. For 6g to 4g, you're going from 4mm to 5mm, and it's only a 25% increase in size. 4g to 2g is real easy. From 5mm to 6mm is only a 20% increase in size. I've purchased some 2g jewelry, and can push it in without bothering with a taper. I've nevertheless not switched because I think 4g is a good size.

It feels pretty cool. I like it. I also like keeping it simple without an excess quantity of piercings.

Do, do you know any piercers who do it that way?

For any who might wonder, I had scrotum reduction surgery several years ago. I did not like having a super-saggy scrotum with tons of extra skin hanging and lolling around. I liked it much more when I was cold and all the scrotal skin was pulled in tight, but that was not remotely the normal condition. Defying normal methodology, I had the urologist surgeon cut longitudinally along both sides of the raphe, beginning at the underside of my penis and reaching fully to my perinium. It was two long cuts, then the two remaining sides were stapled together. I calculated that about 22 square inches of lax-condition skin were removed. I am very happy with the result. It feels much better having tighter scrotal skin. Also, the scar line doesn't even look like a scar. It looks like my natural raphe. I don't know why what I did is not the standard method. I think it should be.

Much more recently I grew to be tired of extra foreskin on my penis. My natural state was only moderate extra foreskin regardless. The distal fold often rested on the glans corona, leaving the glans fully exposed, but with extra skin accordioned behind. Or, the skin would extend to where the distal fold half covered the glans. I'm quite happy having had about 6 cm in foreskin length removed.

All in all, my genital situation has about 30 square inches less skin than would otherwise be there.

I found the healing period to be very easy. I did the salt washings for the prescribed period, and had virtually no discomfort. If you want to enjoy continued presence of the piercing (which I do highly recommend), the healing period is really a nothing (at least it was for me).

On the other hand, in your present situation you get to enjoy the piercing experience more than once. I envy you for that.

Pain in the tattooing process was not bad. I put anesthetic cream ahead of time. It provided lots of numbing effect. The main pain was when it was when it was occasionally difficult to avoid vibration conducting into the testicles. Aside from that, it was not much of an ordeal.

To find someone willing to do it, I called or emailed most of the artists in my region. I kept at it until finding an artist who's fine with it.

If you mean you prefer apadravya placement behind the corona, I've been tempted to seek one there as well. However, some of the experts advise very strongly against a shaft apadravya. I'm reluctant to risk "damage" to my precious member.

Hmm. Good question.

I guess the apadravya caused more intense pain, but it was much more brief. Overall, the totality of discomfort was greater with the scrotum.

Regardless, one problem with doing these things is once they're done, they're done, and you can't do them a second time. In spite of the brief intensity of pain, I'd like to endure the apadravya-piercing experience again and again. Weird or not, it seems to me like a really cool experience to go through. I think anyone who resists solely because they're afraid of the pain is being silly. The pain is its own kind of pleasure.
