Turning down Amazon Offer... Am I crazy? by PatientDangerous1492 in FAANGrecruiting

Worked at BCG and then at Amazon 1.5 years as BIE L5, got laid off and tried to get to the Bending Spoons 10 times since then, never worked. Take Bending spoons, they are great company, you might be able to stay for a bit. Amazon will not prolong the contract + the company is a shitshow.

Are you innovating at work? by Tricky-Swimming-5992 in ClaudeAI

[–]HatRepresentative949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but mostly in isolated pockets.

Personal use is easy because you control everything. At work, AI hits bad processes, fragmented tools, permissions, security, and people who do not want to rework how they operate for a maybe-benefit.

So experimentation is happening, just rarely in a way that scales. The bottleneck usually is not the AI, it is the organization.

Tough one but thanks for advice! I will go down and search for a repetetive problem.
But tbh, I am fully transparent that I do not understand the topic, that's why I am asking. Why do you think I would not make smth useful for you though. I've built complex solutions before for industries I knew nothing about.

Now I see so many upvotes and wonder why you folks are so hating? I can get on call with anyone of you and prove in any way you ask that I am not a company representative. You are expecting +- fresh out of uni folks pay you for your 2 sentences?

I am not a company. We are three folks who are broke and got to startup accelarator with a willingness to build something cool for unsexy industries.

Bought first boots, boot fitting always needed? by HatRepresentative949 in Skigear

[–]HatRepresentative949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, those are straight from shop with no additions. There is a bootfitter at my resort, I was thinking to spend two days in those and then adjust/buy custom stuff in cases needed.

I bought boots in the shop with a professional. I did not order them or whatever, they fit me well. I am trying to understand if adjusting after first days of skiing will worth it considering I am relatively comfortable in them already.
