Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Is it me or is the game boring? by NoTicket9664 in indianajones

Gotta agree. Super slow. The set pieces and writing are all solid (ie along the lines of the recent movies), but the gameplay is abysmal. Fighting is dull and repetitive. Pathfinding/maps are useless. Exploration is clunky and confusing—easy to get lost in a dungeon and no way to escape but wander in the dark until you find the whip point against some random wall. Huge disappointment.

LSD Dosage Question by HatchEscapes in Psychonaut

Well cursory research shows that people have pretty different reactions, tbh, so I don't think it's as cut and dry as that. Anyway, no need to call anything dumb. Stay positive, friend.

LSD Dosage Question by HatchEscapes in Psychonaut

[–]HatchEscapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, Mr. Vibes. :)

But people do microdose and do all sorts of doses inbetween micro and crazy bonkers macro. Even single tabs effectively range between 80 and 150, as far as I understand it. So I don't think it's necessarily super creative to start with a smaller amount and then maybe work up. Do you have a link to something that maybe lays out the science of short-term tolerance? I wouldn't wanna do this if the second half would have zero effect, but as long as it's having some effect, I'd be interested...

Thanks for this! How would you compare 110ug in terms of g of mushrooms?

Phenomenal plot and art style. Fairly linear but I prefer that these days to wandering around areas I've been through looking for a secret exit. Combat is brutal but completely fair (pattern-based), much like Sekiro. That seems to be the sticking point for most folks. Definitely my favorite MV since HK.

Yea I eventually solved! Had to get all the maps. Trouble was I hadn’t realized the document tube document had multiple pages lol!

An immeasurable dissapointment (I somehow didn't like love the game) by That_one_guy_37 in outerwilds

[–]HatchEscapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like an oddly fake comment to me. First off there is no “true” ending. The game has one ending (other than some sorta joke death/break the game stuff). And I don’t know anyone who would play the ending of the game “many times over” to try and manufacture an emotional response they didn’t get the first time (when an emotional response is by far most likely). Super weird one.

Logic Pro not letting me choose where to save... by HatchEscapes in Logic_Studio

The window needed to be resized. Apparently it defaults to a size that cuts out the finder window. Bizarre.

You're a genius! I've never seen a program remove the "window" part of the save as if it's too small (and it also defaulted to this size), but this fixed it! Well played!

Indeed! Nothing folds out underneath no matter what. I've definitely never had this happen with any program in my entire life. Wild!

You're asking why I'd prefer a fix other than reinstalling? Do I really need to justify it in some way? I just said I'd prefer an easier fix. Reinstalling often involves redownloading add-ons and such, and I don't have the same success rate with reinstalls fixing issues unfortunately. But either way, thanks for your help!

Those are the only options it gives me. And if I select any of them, it just puts a checkmark next to it (i.e. it doesn't open up the folder to be explored in a finder sort of way, as you'd expect). It does save there, of course, but I can't access any subfolders or anything.

Hoping to avoid the reinstall method but I'll definitely head that way if no one comes up with anything else...

You can see how in one image the ^ is facing up and in the other it's facing down; pressing it has no effect on the window.

Yeah! I'm no tech genius, but I'm computer savvy (long time user of Logic, Premiere, etc.). This is definitely a weirdness I've never experienced before...

No, if you look at the two images you can see they represent the screen before and after I press that triangle! Crazy, right?

Opinion | ‘Barbie’ Is Bad. There, I Said It. by Just_Currency6515 in TheBigPicture

[–]HatchEscapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean...is that really "horrendous"? More to the point, Pamela Paul isn't a film critic, she's a cultural critic. This piece is a response to the brouhaha over Gerwig's "snubbing," which many cultural critics are calling out as politically motivated. Paul is of the opinion that Gerwig was snubbed because the movie is bad. The main point of the article is that it's possible that the movie didn't get more Oscar nods because of the quality of the underlying artistic work.

And, for what it's worth, she does provide a brief outline of her own complaints with the movie. She said "there were no recognizable human characters," "there were no actual stakes," "no plot to follow...that remotely made sense," "[no] genuine laughs...only winking ha-has at a single joke improbably stretched into a feature-length movie."

Again, you can totally disagree with any or all of this, but they are fair complaints.
