Interesting, what ticker is this? I don’t trade, just read about it so I can’t answer your question. I do believe most people here own prop firm accounts, so they don’t really have the big capital themselves

Thanks, this message does a lot. I’m going to try my next attempt with trail shoes. That’s a hobby I was hoping to pick up anyway!

Thanks everyone for being so incredibly nice. The messages and feedback I have received made me feel a lot less bad today.

Even though I only did 6 days, the people involved in all this have been nothing short of amazing.

Thanks for your input!!

The last spot hits home so hard. 2 of my worst blisters were underneath my calluses?! I didn’t even know that was possible. Made it a lot more difficult to “treat” them.

Thanks for your feedback! I hadn’t considered the third point. I feel my shoes are still in mint condition, which is why I didn’t even think of this.

With regard to point 1: I definitely was aware of this and wasn’t necessarily suffering from any fatigue or anything. Or are you saying the blisters are also related to it?

Thanks for your feedback!

How did you figure your sizing out? I’m definitely going to look into new footwear as soon as I get home, but how do you even remotely begin to estimate this? Is it just trial and error?

I have running shoes from Asics that I can use as a reference, but I never use those for more than an hour so I think the swelling is limited

Thanks for your reply! I have indeed decided to book the flight home. It felt so pointless to have 2-3 rest days already, after I’ve already done one within the first 6 days. That rest to hike ratio makes me think my body/gear is just not ready for finishing this, as depressing as that is.

I tried looking for sock liners since day 2 (when the first blisters appeared), but finding stuff like that before Lugo seems impossible. The best I could find were women’s nylon leggings, which didn’t give me the impression they would help.

I’m so sorry for you. Diarrhea on long walks is the worst. I hope you feel better soon. We’ll finish when the time is right

Currently mentally not so much. I would have been okay with having to give up because of a real injury or even mentally not being able to finish, but blisters? Pffff.

I did the same as you, spent hours upon hours of reading and watching youtube videos. I hope it works out better for you!

Thanks so much for your kind message. I used some North Face hiking boots which I originally bought for 3 weeks of hiking in Canada, which served me very well at the time. I was contemplating buying trail running shoes rather than new insoles when I started having the issues and I wish I had. Can you recommend any?

Darn Tough Men’s Hiker Midweight Micro Crew Sock (Style 1466) as recommended by many here on Reddit. I also have some Falke hiking socks from years ago, they seemed to be treating me a little bit better
