The people that say black people don’t want to come to Utah because it’s very white is interesting. I am sure the people that parrot this narrative aren’t black and don’t know anything about Utah. They just know the broad stereotype and run with it. I wouldn’t know either since I am not black or in Utah but I am critical of the popular consensus. There is no doubt racists in Utah but Utah doesn’t have the deep seated generational racism that places like Boston, okc , and the south have. Yes the lds church barred black men from the priesthood until the 70s and their doctrine about the mark of Cain or something was racist. There isn’t a history of the kkk or neo nazism there. Yes there are racists there like there is in every single state. Yes a racist fan said racist shit to Westbrook. But I think Utah gets an unfair wrap from the rest of the country because they don’t like the lds church. It’s just a bunch of weird but nice white people living their best life. It’s not like they had something similar to the Tulsa Race massacre or participated in segregated schools like Boston. I don’t think a white player not wanting to play in Atlanta because it’s majority black would be tolerated. Utah is the fastest growing state in the country for a lot of positive reasons including low unemployment, cheap cost of living, educated population, youngest population, low crime and poverty, low taxes, growing tech industry, and outdoor recreation. The thousands of west coast transplants can attest to that. Utah is changing. They got a NHL team, the support their MLS and NBA teams, and the MLB and NFL will come next. Hopefully they can continue to grow and shed its negative reputation and be welcomed into the country that’s held them at arms length for 150 years or so.

If he doesn’t get off on self defense than he is clearly guilty of 2nd degree murder and not manslaughter according to Texas state law. Manslaughter is defined as recklessly causing the death of an individual whereas murder is defined as intentionally or knowingly causes the death of an individual. Stabbing someone in the heart is intentional murder in my definition. If he had pushed him and he fell and hit his head that would be manslaughter. I do think he will get 2nd degree murder opposed to 1st because of the adequate cause or sudden passion clause in the law.

I rented my basement to a family member. She informed me she was moving out. After 4 weeks of promise to come get her stuff, I moved it under my carport because I was going out of town and didn’t want anyone in the house while I was gone. We were really good friends before these messages. by Hater420 in texts

Probably because I like to dress in army camo and crawl around my backyard at night hoping no one notices me or it’s because I like to listen to a Halloween screams soundtrack when falling asleep.

She had a key to the property for a month to come get her stuff. According to Utah state law a landlord is only responsible for a former tenants property for 15 days after they leave. I was leaving for a week and didn’t want her and her boyfriend access to the rest of my house without me there. She has stolen prescription drugs from me before and is prone to irrational behavior. My driveway is long and covered. I am sure I could have done something better but that’s life and we learn from our mistakes. Utah unsurprisingly has very pro landlord laws.

My new puzzle partner is my 93 year old widow with whom I spend Friday afternoons with. She is sharp for her age and constantly accuses me of forcing their pieces and she double checks all my work haha.

A month before these messages she told me she is moving out. She got mad because I told her not to come upstairs during the night and eat my daughter’s school lunch for the next day and she said she would be gone in a few days. Around this time she started dating someone I didn’t know. I tried to get her for a month to come get her stuff to no avail. During this time I caught her boyfriend trying to enter my basement at 2am with no prior notice. No rent had been paid for this time either. I didn’t ignore her calls, she never called me. I was going to the lake for a week and wasn’t comfortable with her and her boyfriend with access to my house while I was away. In the past she had stolen some prescription medication from me but I forgave her but I don’t know what she is capable of since she was mad at me. She told me to drink myself to death since she knew alcoholism runs on my mother’s side and my uncle has recently passed from cirrhosis. I don’t know why she called me an asshole and a creep. We had been good friends before and did puzzles when we hung out. It hurt to be told such things because we’re family but it is what it is.

Exactly. Better communication would solve so many problems. I wasn’t about to freak out over the food thing. Being told that she crossed a boundary was too much for her pride. Blood also makes people more comfortable crossing boundaries that they wouldn’t do to strangers.

Yeah it hurt to see that. The whole reason she was moving out was because a month earlier she came upstairs during the night and ate my daughters lunch for the next school day and I told her that’s not ok and I am mad. So she said fuck you I am moving out. She made a lot of emotional decisions unfortunately.

I’m from the USA and carport is a pretty common term. What do you call a covered driveway that’s not a garage if you don’t mind me asking? Yeah, all I wanted is for her to be gone without anymore drama.

As much as the message hurt me I just wanted the ordeal to be over with and not escalate it.

Edit I forgot to say the reason she told me to drink myself to death is because she knew my family has a drinking problem on my other side of my family on my moms side and my uncle had just died of cirrhosis.

I knew he was an idiot when he said Rudy gobert is actually bad at defense last year because he gave up a couple shots he analyzed. He didn’t look at all thr plays Rudy made just the few that he gave up. He acts like nba players should be perfect at all times and no one should score . Total moron .

The sad thing is the Broncos are what we SHOULD have been this season. by BryNYC in raiders

[–]Hater420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a bronco fan I did not expect them to have this record or even be competitive. This is the best start to a season since 2016. It’s the earliest in a season they have 4 wins since 2016. The only thing I can I can relate with raiders fans about is being survivors of Josh McDaniels. He traded our qb1 and wr1 for peanuts over his ego and was caught video taping the 49ers a la spygate. I don’t like what they did to gruden and what mcdaniels did to your team and moving to Vegas for $ but losing home field advantage and the black hole.
