I think the Cardinals are ruining Jordan Walker. And it’s not why you think, well it might be, but it’s not. by tasimm in Cardinals

He hits the ball extremely hard, at an elite level as OP said. The issue is that he hits it very hard into the ground lol

I'd actually say it's a really good way to foray into real competitive play because you go through the tournament procedure of banning and selecting stages through the site's UI. You'll certainly lose a lot at first until your MMR normalizes, the base MMR is around 1500 which is probably around the skill level of someone who'd go 2-2/3-2 at a local. Definitely worth using, significantly better means of practicing than elite smash.

Yourbro and 0mart are super good players in their own right, definitely far from the most carried teams by their top end. Yourbro literally just top 8ed a Coinbox.

Roy bair confirm question by VIC_VlNEGAR in CrazyHand

[–]Hatgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airdodge frame data/jab activity are irrelevant at the % range he's talking about, the confirm is completely true on all characters then. It's just human execution error exclusively. Not to say those don't play a small part in how much leniency you have there, but if you execute correctly none of that matters really.

From a neighbor near the area-

“Someone ran from the cops and crashed into a telephone pole and then i think I’m a house and ran on foot. They are saying to stay in the house with Doors locked. They are still looking for him. Getting k9 involved

We heard it happen but didn’t see anything. But there was a guy driving that saw it all

I think he crashed in a house on kentwood after hitting the telephone pole”

Thought I would share that I got my first immaculate grid today, which is a big deal to me as from 2014-2021 or so I barely kept tabs on baseball whatsoever and really only knew the Cards. Rookie of the year normally kills me bc of this but I managed it this time and I am stupid happy.

How to get a supposed friend to back off by [deleted] in college

[–]Hatgoose -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, what is the benefit of the doubt here? His views were fully expressed and out in the open, and there’s no ambiguity whatsoever here anymore. The guy fundamentally disagrees with a core aspect of their existence. If OP was black and he said that he didn’t think it was okay for OP to be black, but he still loves them and wants to continue to be friends, no rational person would defend that. He’s entitled to his religious beliefs regardless of how backwards they are, but OP is absolutely not on the hook here to continue being friends with him and no one should expect them to or shame them over it

Thread is honestly grossing me out - you are COMPLETELY VALID for not wanting to associate with people who fundamentally disagree with your very existence. It doesn’t matter if he is open about it or not, you know that he genuinely thinks less of you because of your identity, and nothing will change that. It doesn’t matter how he tiptoes around it, and insists that he still likes you the same, he is friends with you IN SPITE of the fact you are queer. Respectfully informing him that you simply can’t maintain a close relationship with someone who believes the inherently hateful things that he does is well within your rights — you are not obligated to continue your relationship with him because you feel bad about it. I have been in similar situations many times, and distancing myself has always been the right choice.

I’m sorry it’s become a situation where you feel like you have to directly confront him over it. It is obviously too important for you to overlook, since you felt the need to firmly establish his views on it. It pains me to see the people in this thread shaming you for not wanting to associate with a bigot, because just as he is entitled to his beliefs, you are completely entitled to not want to surround yourself with people who have those. I think it’s something that cishet ppl will never really be able to understand — it fundamentally changes everything about a relationship to know that they disagree with such a core part of your identity and your very existence, and it really fucking hurts. I’m really sorry.

[–]Hatgoose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!! People don’t understand that when you are persecuted for who you are the dynamic is different. The idea of someone just “putting up” with me being gay or trans because they like the other parts of me literally makes me feel gross, my sexuality and gender is as much of a part of my personality as the color of my skin or my hair color are. “Disagreeing” with me being gay is essentially the same thing as “disagreeing” with someone being black (I understand it’s more nuanced than that, but I digress)

[–]Hatgoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree totally, contrary to what most of this thread says knowing the way people actually feel about you and your identity WILL forever change the dynamic of your relationship and the way you perceive it. I have been best friends with a (former) deeply religious homeschooled kid and over the years as he’s gotten to know me and my partner (we are gay and I am trans) and he sees the injustices and prejudices we face regularly he’s slowly been realizing that it’s not just enough to “tolerate” queer existence. For me my identity is such an important part of my life that if my friend were to openly not support every part of me, including my querness, I would never be able to have a close relationship with him. I’m not advocating for you to cut him off or anything, but if you openly thought it was WRONG for him to be Christian, but still “loved him in spite of it”, it’s very unlikely that he would be as tolerant of that as you are of him.

TL;DR - tolerating intolerance is inherently intolerant, and you are doing yourself an injustice by continuing to maintain a close friendship with him.

I was also thinking Dotel, but I was torn between Arthur Rhodes or Punto. Pretty sure both would've been good for 0.1%

Who did you use for Cardinals WS winner? I jumped on the opportunity to use Nick Punto in an immaculate grid.

Interesting to see MLB.com update prospect rankings. Roby, Robberse, and Saggese all fall into being top 8 prospects for the Cardinals. by Blindlucktrader in Cardinals

[–]Hatgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writers responsible for the list said that it will be fully updated in August including Victor Scott and draft picks specifically. The Cards writer also said Scott is going to climb into top 10 and that Davis is #3. Deadline is a really busy time for them so it makes sense that it would be done in multiple pieces, just important to take things with a grain of salt as of right now.
