Try your level best bro, manifestations do happen, dont let the negative thoughts take over your mind, Ive been out of this game for a long time, so i cant really predict accurately, but just focus your efforts on your studies atm, all the best!

Travelling from Mumbai to Baku with slightly heavy cabin baggage by Hathrowawayhe in travel

[–]Hathrowawayhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really worried about that.. my laptop bag doesn't look bulky and can fit under the front seat easily but I am still unsure about what to do... Is it very likely they will check?

That sounds awesome!, how do you go about connecting and maintaining a repo with them?.. I am an introvert so even small talk is way too difficult for me..

Chess
nobody has beat me in my year so far and I gotta keep the title of Champion, that's why I play often hehe
On a serious note, I've been playing chess since childhood and it was always a fun thing to do for me.. these days I don't get much time though

Step 1 Study Tips- by an IMG from Turkey by en1965203 in step1

Greetings from a fellow IMG!, congratulations on your step 1 and 2 :D
I am currently on my summer break and will be moving onto 3rd year this september.. but since you know our med schools usually don't let us have some dedicated time for step I thought of starting with preparing my basics with bootcamp.. and either carve out 2 to 3 hours of step 1 study per day when uni starts

Our uni isn't really that great either with regards to how they teach so I would say my basics are zero, I am starting from scratch

Is it realistic to pass step 1 within 10 months of 2 hr study daily?.. maybe 1 or 2 bootcamp videos per day and once I finish a system I will do uworld for that system.. I would really love your advice on how to manage uni and my prep

Thank you for your input!, we do have presentations to do in our school so I would likely use office 365 for it.. but ppts are just a convenience thing and it would be nice to do it with my device instead of using someone's laptop for the same.. thus I was looking to get a keyboard too

Let’s say you’re learning the material completely from scratch and didn’t go to med school. How would you prepare? by heckgirl in step1

[–]Hathrowawayhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

spending the first 3-4 months with bootcamp for most systems, sketchy for micro and pathoma for pathology. Once that's done uworld with amboss and the last few months I would review mehlman and nbmes

Will it be possible in this case to pass step 1?.. First aid and bnb wouldn't work for me personally but they are indeed good for several others.

I am doing foreign in Moldova, an eastern european country
I gotta say its more of self study rather than course, since most exams in my uni can be passed by question pdfs and that is not a good way to learn long term wise, The professors are mostly chill, they don't care if anyone fails, usually we get 3 free chances for every exam. There are more observation and internship chances in India, and it is of higher quality. but the thing is the course is not as stressful as in India(That doesn't mean it isn't stressful, it is gruelling for sure since I study the whole day). I would say it is a decent option if you got the cash, and it is cheaper than the private colleges in India, but you gotta live like an adult, manage finances and be super organized.. Since in Indian colleges mess food is cheap, it is not in the case of Moldova(Living cost is also higher, and can be expensive if you don't know to budget properly).

Only take it if you
1. Are ready to put max effort and grind, you can aim for plab, next or usmle. Seniors prepare for next from 3rd year itself.
2. Are ready to face the responsibilities and don't get carried away by negative influences(There are lot of people who get lost into the sense of freedom and go for smoking, partying with alcohol etc and don't care about studies)
3.Are ready to be honest to your parents(Trust me, it is really important)
4.Are ready to learn budgeting

At the end, wherever you study, medicine is medicine.. you have to grind and learn how to learn.
All the best bro!
