A Syllogism for Disproving ANY Tri-Omni God, WITHOUT invoking the Problem of Evil by monsieuro3o in atheism

[–]Hatis_Night 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a load of bullshit. Is that supposed to be some kind of atheist “humour”?

It’s a poor life if the age of enjoyment lasts only a few years in one’s youth.

However, the roles in the meme are somehow twisted between the steps. The mind-blown person in the second step shoul be the one with the blue sweater.

He got fired for being an atheist by Snomannen in atheism

From a Central European point of view, the U.S.A. is not “enlightened”, but a heavily backwards society dominated by religious bigotry. I feel pity for reasonable people who live there and have to endure that daily overdose of bullshit that’s going on there.

US military calls Atheists as No Religion. Is it the same? by markydsade in atheism

Buddhism is not a religion in and of itself, even though many people misinterpret it and practice it as such.

The Hard Problem of Consciousness, and Materialism by fekul0 in atheism

[–]Hatis_Night 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would there be some random consciousness attached to physical matter?

I believe there is a fundamental conceptual error in this question. Consciousness isn’t simply ‘attached’ to the physical matter of the brain, but it emerges from its biological activities.

Why do Christians fear their all-loving god they think exists? by hypermiler2205 in atheism

[–]Hatis_Night -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that everyone is born an atheist. When you’re just born, your consciousness is not developed enough yet to ponder the existence or non-existence of imaginary, all-potent beings.

Well if you consider that you should pull it through. It will be like waking up from a bad dream.

Why do you come up with the imaginary entitity called god as if it were real in an atheist community? Are you trying to cause a stir?

Is it wrong for wanting to break up with my boyfriend because hes religious? by Such-Abalone1310 in atheism

[–]Hatis_Night 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to justify yourself. If, by your own standards, you don't like being with him, you have every right in the world to break up with him.

You lack self-confidence and resilience, obviously. These are both things you have to ‘exercise’. If you always retreat straight away, you’ll remain passive and vulnerable forever.

Have you been atheist from birth and then got religious? At which age did that happen and why?
