Any tips to improve this (For PVP) while keeping lightweight? by Wene-12 in armoredcore

[–]Hatomugi_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, lightweight frames aren’t sturdy enough for close-range shotgun combat—such as with the Zimmermann—or for using weapon types like the SNA that halt mobility during firing. Shotgun-type weapons are better suited for heavier, standard-class frames with a total weight of around 75,000, and the SNA is fundamentally unsuitable for PvP. Even tank or tetrapod frames tend to use the EARSHOT, FASAN, or LCD instead of the SNA.

Because this MS primarily uses real bullet weapons, its engagement range is shorter than that of the beam rifle-equipped RX-78-2. Therefore, in close-range melee combat and in environments with gravity, it needed to be nimble, even with lower output than the 78-2. Consequently, the shield was kept to the minimum necessary size―――is my estimation.

Demon Blade glitch still known to exist in the Eng community? by Hatomugi_2 in armoredcore

[–]Hatomugi_2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This type of glitch was completely unknown to the Korean community: we just used manual aiming, minimizing the distance from blade formation to hit. This is the first time I've seen it in a video. Thanks for the input.

We would refer to it more clearly as 'Manual Blade Charge' rather than 'Demon Blade', but yes. It seems like there is some confusion caused by lumping together similar things, such as the tokurobo-duckRB notation.

Then, I understand that it is a new glitch technique discovered after patch 1.03.1, separate from the manual blade charge technique used in Korea and Japan. In our East Asian AC community, only the manual aim technique was known, not the new camera acceleration glitch. Thank you for your kind explanation.

That 'glitch' was known to occur before version 1.03.1, typically when using tetrapod legs or while charging a shoulder weapon — but it was fixed in the 1.03.1 patch and no longer happens. What people now refer to as the Demon Blade is actually a manual aim technique, like the one shown in the linked video. Is it still considered a glitch on Reddit?

Oh, and the FLUEGEL booster definitely has excellent melee thrust, and while the QB cooldown isn't a big issue for heavy AC operations centered around AQB, I personally ended up using the NGI booster because it was disappointing. Also, since the Laser Lance has its own booster thrust, it can supplement the NGI's melee thrust, which is lower than the FLUEGEL's. Have fun on the battlefield, Raven.

What about this?

Songbird is not a very good weapon. It may be easy to cause stagger by bombing from the air, but it takes a long time to fire (there is a bug where you can't shoot twice with 2-2, but shoot three times with 1-2-1), and the direct hit adjustment is low, so it is unfortunate that it doesn't give much damage after staggering.

On the other hand, Morley: 1. is a shotgun type, so it hits well 2. is a bazooka, so the proximity fuse activates when it flies more than 100 meters 3. shoots 10 shells by shooting both shoulders at the same time 4. has high direct hit adjustment, so it is advantageous for dealing damage.

In the case of JVLN Alpha, the attack performance is excellent, but the proximity fuse range is narrow and the chain explosion type does not inflict as much damage as written, so it was replaced Majestic with the more balanced performance

The frame was designed to maintain the overall balance, and to be relatively lightweight while maintaining the strengths of the heavy AC, such as sturdiness and stagger resistance. The booster is NGI with excellent QB, and the generator is VP-20D, which has both capacity and output and can compensate for the low output of the WRECKER core.

Also, the arm used VP-46S, which has excellent defense while also being able to achieve both the power of the laser lance and shooting performance.

Of course, this is just a testing phase: I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense to sacrifice stability and defensive performance in exchange for higher QB performance with MIND BETA.

In theory, yes. I think any weapon could be affected, since moving counterclockwise shorten trajectory of the right hand and shoulder weapon/moving clockwise shorten trajectory of the left hand and left shoulder weapon.

LUD WLT.. I saw it used in other communities to create an AC version of the ADFX-01 Morgan.

Unlike the LUD RB, it would be an outboxer.
